My mom and I arrived in the Galapagos expecting to be on a boat later that afternoon. Our boat, however, was broken so we had to make other plans. The solymar hotel provided accomodations for two nights until we could find another boat. The front desk was very understanding and helpful. The hotel is nicely located on the main street...

With views over the bay and nature on your doorstep, it would be hard to make this experience any better. However, the staff manage this. They are naturally helpful and as I am recovering from gringo tummy, they did all they could. The chef even tailored the menu to a more stomach-sensitive diet for me.

We stayed here because we wanted a nice location. It is a small hotel with nice amenities, a fun bar and pool (although with the birds and reptiles around, I would not swim in it). The staff was great and breakfast tasty. I definitely recommend.

This is a fab hotel, comfortable, great airconditioning ( quite ferocious infact) lovely rooms over looking the pool and the water where you can have a beer on the balcony and check out the resident sea lion " wendy" who lies on a bench downstairs. Breakfast buffet was one of the best I have had and the reception staff spoke...

Our experience was awesome good, includung the honesty of the room service lady, security and every single employee. There are no words for describing how great was for my wife and I to stay here for a week. However, there is no words for descibing how bad they made us to feel in the bar near to the beach each...

Bad experience with the service, specially with a waitress called "kelly" or "kerly" (don't remember) whose service and attention was too bad. She doesn't know where she is! (neglected&lazy). She first started being kind & nice person, later she behaved like rude or angry so disgusting! the food and the view of the restaurant (close to the waves) were amazing!...

First of all the staff at this hotel were very warm and helpful throughout our 4 day stay. Our room had a waterfront view (not sure if this is true with all rooms) of the bay with a small terrace which we enjoyed in the evening. The room was clean and well appointed for what one needs on a slightly...

My now husband and I traveled to the Galapagos Islands for our two week honeymoon and boy was I glad that we did! We were well taken care of and the staff was beyond accommodating. Due to the checkout time, the front desk staff even watched our luggage for us so we could explore around the island more. Also, the...

Where do I start? The Hotel Solymar is the perfect place to stay to enjoy everything the Galapagos has to offer. We made this hotel our homebase for two trips to the Galapagos and could not be happier with the experience. The location of the Hotel Solymar is ideal for experiencing Porta Ayura as well a diverse offering of land...
