I cannot believe this place gets TA editor's choice awards. That is shocking. I was there in February, stayed exactly one hour and then left and paid double to move to Finch Bay. It's that bad. It is truly the biggest dump I've ever seen in my life. It should be a half star, not 4 stars! Travelers should demand...

Dear Mr. Price, Thank you for your comments, We would like to “put the record straight” for our Trip Advisor readers, as your review is very derogatory considering you only spent 4 hours at the Royal Palm. Your comments are based on an impression rather than an experience. From the moment you arrived, it was obvious that you were upset...

It's too far away from either Puerto Ayora or the boat launch at Baltra. Although the rooms are very large, doors stick, there's no basin plug, there's a dampness over everything & we were overrun by hundreds of tiny worms crawling all over the floor. The pool was nice. The restaurant was okay. I can't see why you would bother...

Dear Guest, Thank you for your comments, I would like to make clear that The Royal Palm is located mid way between Puerto Ayora and Baltra. Due to the constant changes in climate there are times when the solid wooden doors do stick, and unfotunately the hand made copper sinks do not have plugs. We are surprised to learn that...

In January my husband and I stayed for a week at this beautiful resort. It is located at about 1150 feet up a volcano on Santa Cruz Island, Galapagos. It is midway between the Puerto Ayora and the docks at the Baltra crossing. Logistically the location was very convenient. The elevation of the resort was high enough to be in...

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your comments and we’re glad that you chose The Royal Palm as your base during your Galapagos adventures! Our main goal is to make our guests feel at home! We do change our menus regularly, to reflect the seasonal produce available in the islands. The Galapagos National Park also imposes restrictions on imports...

When we arrived, it was raining non-stop! But apparently this is normal for this part of the island. Carlos, the property manager picked us up and he is just amazing! He speaks English very well and is extremely helpful and friendly. He gave us a tour in the lava tunnels and he was just the perfect guide! Funny with a...

Loved having the privatecy, in our own villa. Large bedroom, large sunroom with a spa bath for two, large lounge room, large shower, bathroom, so nice. They pick you up to take you the their dining room, when you leave each day from the reception etc. as the villa's are so spread out. They have lava tunnels to visit within...

We stayed two nights at the Royal Palm and wished we could have stayed longer. This is a delightful hotel with good facilities, nice rooms and excellent people. The location is a bit out of the way so eating in the onsite restaurant is something you probably want to do (unless you have access to a car which is unlikely...

Well, they probably expect a bad review here. The person that thought of building this hotel in that location did a very poor job. It rains non-stop. Apparently this is because they are in the highest part of the island. It was uncanny - a beautiful sunny day at the port and by the time we got there it would...

Dear Guest, We are very sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay largely due to the heavy rain we are experiencing from El Niño, Although at this time of year it is quite normal to experience heavy rainfall throughout the whole region. Like most hotels in the Galapagos, the majority of our maintenance is carried out from...

Wow what a great romantic place and location in the woods. The hotel is very nice, employees where all super friendly and amazing. The villas where great romantic with fireplace, clean water, jacuzzi, free plate of fruits. Free wifi in every villa, and breakfast is included. Slippers, robe, everything is here you don't want to leave the room.

I am sitting in one of the villas and the mildew/mold smell is overwhelming. Not just my villa but the one my son is staying in as well. All windows have to be left open for it to be tolerable. The food at all meals is subpar a. We r not choosing to eat here anymore. It is off the...

Dear Guest, Thank you for your comment, we are sad that you didn’t enjoy your stay, we hope this didn’t spoil your overall Galapagos Experience.
