Great location for a good prize. We stayed at the tower that is in the back for a better price but if you get the fifth floor you may get the ocean view. Breakfast is all you can eat and different local options every day. Service is good. You go to the beach by walking one block and you get...

Pool best thing at hotel, nice room, food OK, too much attitude from employees, especially Breakfast server at Hotel Norte and Carp man in front of beach. Be insistent to not accept mediocrity, a lot of attitude here by breakfast server at Norte and beach carp man, they treat you badly, don't want to do their jobs, ask for food...

dark mold over all bathroom, water pressure a trickle, use of the pool requires a two block walk across a busy street, and cockroaches on breakfast table. a 4ftx4ft mirror fell off the wall while i was not in, and they attempted to charge me with the cost of repair!

We stayed at this hotel in January 2014 and found the place absolutely fantastic. The views from the rooms in Torre Beach were fantastic and the swimming pool absolutely divine. Our stay included breakfast and one other meal which was nice and the service in the restaurant was fantastic. Unfortunately the service in the pool bar left a lot to...

Stayed here for three nights, in the beach side tower (as they refer to it, it's not really a tower). The food is good and we ate dinner there a few times. Breakfast was pretty good too, plenty of choice and a good egg chef. The place as quiet in the evening after the resident band finished at 10 pm,...

Enjoyed the food the location, good for relaxing, very nice and friendly staff. As good as when we visited in 2006. Not the cheapest but good value for money. New Mall at walking distance, Santa Marta is a must visit when in Colombia.

My boyfriend and I went there during low season, it was awesome!. Excellent service, great food and best pinas coladas. It is walking distance from good restaurants, bars and just in front of a mall, very convinient. I do recommend this place.

Good hotel to stay when passing through Santa Marta and wanting to stay at Rodadero's busy beach with its Miami-esque buildings and 24/7 party atmosphere. The Tamaca is very retro, but good location near the airport. Would rather stay there than at the mega-resorts of Zuana and Irotama. Must improve breakfast quality!

The Hotel Tamacá has it downsides, but if you're going to stay in Santa Marta it is worth a look. The hotel is located in El Rodadero a suburb of Santa Marta. Rodadero is a tourist area (Colombian Tourists) so there are plenty of good (some great) restaurants within walking distance. Although I can't disagree with some of the postings...
