A simply spectacular place, you wouldn't believe it for the price but it is. It has a beach and a viewpoint, and what I liked the most was the ravine. They have good wifi, water filter for drinking, and large spaces for events. The food was super delicious, although the breakfast was a little slow, the flavor makes up for it. The Higuerón room is ideal for couples, 100% recommended. I will definitely return with my husband.

Simply spectacular, I celebrated my wedding in this place and I must say that I give 11 out of 10 to the hotel, the event, and the staff. It was definitely the best decision I could have made. Something I noticed is that the photos shared on social networks do not do justice to how spectacular this place is, there are so many options you have within the property that I felt that two days were not enough. Special congratulations to Andrea the weeding planner, she definitely knows what she is doing and best of all, she shows her love for her work, she made sure that we felt well cared for and until the last moment she was attentive to all the details.
Points I loved:
-The decoration (everything combined perfectly with that beautiful background) -The indigenous ceremony (it was magical for me) -The toast in front of the beach with the bonfire -The Casa del Mar cabin -Jose the organizer (Friendly, helpful, and always very attentive to all my requirements) and our star Jose Manuel who from day 1 was with us helping us with everything. -The food (Spectacular)
Thank you to everyone at Jorara, I hope to return to this place again and stay at least 1 week, I wish you a happy new year and that many people know about this wonderful place
Postscript: If you are going to get married at the Eco Hotel, be sure to hire the Bagpipes group for the beach moment, it was the only thing I regretted not having hired.
Andrea :)

Spectacular site, my stay was with my mom and all the staff made us feel like part of the family. I loved the tranquility of the place, the sound of the waves and feeling that the beach was just for the two of us. There is a small stream with the freshest water I have ever felt. The food was delicious. I'd been back for three nights and decided to stay a fourth. This is definitely a place for lovers to disconnect with the world and connect with nature.

Recently returned from this absolutely Amazing eco hotel. We was here from 21st May to the 27th. May I say thank you to the whole experience. We had our symbolic wedding all organised by the team at the hotel. Nothing was to much trouble. We would like to thank Jorge for the attention he gave us making our stay amazing. Food fantastic and freshly made to order. We stayed in the marital Lodge over looking the private beach. Stunning place to stay. It's an eco hotel so if you want modern hotel facilities such as WiFi etc. Then your in the wrong place. For those who wrote poor reviews shame on you as you have not embraced what this hotel is about. If you want peace tranquility and want to forget the world then this place is for you. We cannot wait to come back here and experience this amazing beautiful hotel and all its tranquillity. Thank you to the exceptional staff for your hard work and dedication to what you offer. You made our stay one to remember for the rest of our lives. Thank you

A must have experience for travelers coming to Palomino/Santa Marta. Eco Hotel means, everything is efficient/solar powered. Don’t expect AC or WiFi or hot water. The lush green of the lands and solar power provide this place with everything it needs. Alexandra, the most adorable and helpful host, along with everyone on the staff is reason enough alone to visit. It has a private beach where my husband and I stayed in the Casa Del Mar, with hammocks on the balcony. The food offerings were not our usual taste but they accommodated us very well. We took part in the Don Diego river tour which also was a must do!! Love the little family of Rhodesian Ridgebacks as well!

The deluxe bungalow overlooking the Carribean Sea is exceptional. It offers absolute privacy and is truly a truly amazing experience... together with a small private pool ideal to relax for drinks. Service is perfect, and dinner can even be served in the deluxe bungalow. Of course, we chose this option during our 2-night stay. Staff are kind, helpful, and professional. A memorable property to stay at, which I would highly recommend. The only negative is that there isn't a fridge/minibar in the bungalow.

We stayed here as the first stop on our honeymoon. Our stay was fantastic with Andrea, Jesus and Juan and others being fantastic hosts. Our room was perfect and felt like we were staying in the middle of the jungle. The hotel is cold water only but this was never too cold and was all part of the eco-lodge ethos! Only minor comment would be to improve water pressure. Food and drinks were all excellent - BBQ Ribs were particularly excellent.
We did the nature walk around the grounds which was included in the stay (joined by one of the incredibly friendly dogs) which showed off the amazing grounds. There are smaller trails, viewpoint and natural pools to take in too.
The hotel organised a couple of trips - one to Wanamake and another tubing on the Don Diego river. Both felt, surprisingly, like incredibly authentic experiences! Would highly recommend booking through hotel. We also took a couple of trips by local bus to Palomino which took about 10 mins.
Thanks again.

We ( family of 4) just had the plesure at staying at the familydriven hotel, and it was the best experience ever. Ivan and his team made sure to let us feel welcome with their hospitality, and we would have loved to stay an exstra couple of days. If you are on a trip to Santa Marta, then don´t miss the opportunity to visit this pearl.

We stayed for three nights in la Jorará and had a wonderful time. The place is really beautiful, the staff was so nice (especially Wolfgang) and we really loved the four dogs. It is a great place to relax and do nothing but there are also lots of activities you can do if you like.

After looking at La Jorara's online photos I was very eager to stay here and my expectations were met. The buildings and grounds are beautiful. We stayed in one of the back rooms which was very quiet, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was always delicious, the fresh fruit especially good. Dinner was equally good. The La Jorara drink is a must have as is the coconut/lime non-alcoholic drink. All the staff are wonderful and helpful. They helped us get into Tyrona National Park more quickly, arranged various tours for us, and generally made sure we had a fantastic experience. We also enjoyed hiking up the river trail and above the finca. It is exceptionally nice to be able to walk out your hotel room directly to the beach, the river, or to the hills. It you want to get away from crowds and relax in comfort, this is a perfect choice.
