It is a bit far out of the center, but a perfect base to make your way in the north part. Buses and a mall are still close by and taxi is cheap. Clean rooms and they keep on improving the rooms. Super friendly, English speaking and always helpful staff. You will keep coming back here ;)

Very nice, comfortable, super-clean hostel with fun and helpful staff. Specious kitchen (although hardly any cutlery). Good movie area and great movies every night. Excellent food - one of the nicest i've had in a hostel! Only reason i didn't stay here again was the location. I enjoy going out for short walks in the city and this hostel is...

upon arrival from SM's airport at about 1 pm they said I could not have my bed so I put my stuff near the front desk and went into the pool which was heavenly after a long flight from NYC (connected in Bogota). taxi was 29000cop although it seems that less can be paid if you bargain. Staff are friendly...

We only stayed here because we needed to get Tayrona and didn't want to spend more than a day in Santa Marta for that reason and the bus going there is less than 10 mins walk from there. There was nothing wrong with our room, the staff were excellent and sorted out the problem of having no water promptly. Our...

Super talkative staff- which is cool until you're in a rush but they understand if you have to cut them off. The guys liked me and my boyfriend so much they gave us a beer upon check in- sweet! Or maybe it's because he did his whole spiel in a minute 20 seconds in Spanish and we understood and high...

This is a backpacker's Eden. Great architecture with an internal terraza, nice swimming pool, many hammocks widespread, wifi, good Bar, helpful and kind staff. Rooms are great and always clean as well as toilets. Also billiard table. The only not so good aspect is location but at the same time provides you a quiet stay in Santa Marta.

Great hostel, amazing staff, close walk to supermarket / cinema etc. Food is good, though on the pricey side. Great pool, lots of common areas to chill out, good kitchen, lots of hammocks and trees. Plenty of help booking tours and organising things. The private room was huge, fan kept it cool. Only areas for improvement - wi-fi was patchy...

We ended up staying for about 5 nights because we used dreamers as a base for the lost city trek, a trip to park Tayrona and palomino. The staff have to be the best we have come across in all of Colombia - particularly Diego and Gustavo. They made a real effort to learn our names when we arrived and...

We didn't stay here, but stopped in twice for great cheap pizza and mojitos. The property is well manicured and was consistently busy around the pool tables, pool and bar. The girls at reception let us swap some of our English books here and this was so appreciated. If you're looking to connect with others, this would be the place....

Went to santa marta expecting a beach town scenario. The beach in Santa Marta itself is terrible. If you stay in an advertised beach hotel you will be disappointed. I looked at some before staying at dreamer. What makes this place a hostel is that they have dormitory rooms. However I stayed in the clean and fairly spacious Jamaica private...
