My husband and I stayed there for a weekend getaway. We booked online and paid in full. We were hit with a $50 "incidentals" fee at check-in. Nobody could explain what these "incidentals" were. Parking was atrocious! We had to park at a street meter 2.5 blocks from the hotel! The breakfast was disgusting and inedible, especially for the price...

Big guest room and nice staff, but - room had strong smell of humidity; Lots of stuff in hotel was broken; poor wifi in lobby and outrageous wifi charges in room; tv reception in the room was very poor.

Location is great. Other than that this hotel is lower than average. The traveler photos of the rooms are accurate what it looks like now...somewhat run down and in need of repairs. Seemed clean enough but one specific issue was that there was half empty toiletry bottles in the shower from the last guest which was unsettling. They also ran...

The hotel is very nice. It is super close to the beach and other venues. I wish the restaurant and bar were open during the week. That would have been nice. The staff was very friendly, especially Theo.

Based on the hotel website and pictures we were very excited to stay at the Berkeley Oceanfront hotel. However I was extremely disappointed. The two positives were the friendly staff and the location of the hotel. Everything else left a lot to be desired. You could tell they tried to renovate the rooms but it was definitely a half assed...

For the price i paid i expected top notch everything. Such disappointment. I will never stay there again. I can not even say anything positive about it other than it has a great location. Next time i would rather walk.

Rooms were spacious. The bed and chairs inside the room had sand in it. The room is old and the sink clogs up. It wasn't what I expected. The picture looks better online. I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Front desk was excellent.

Hotel advertises as a boutique hotel. It had no restaurant open, the bar wasn't open, the tiki bar wasn't open. There was nothing to do there. Expected better for the price they charged especially being in a new and improved Asbury Park. Bed had a lumpy mattress. Service was to be desired and the idea that the hotel don't have a large enough parking area for their guests to park their cars was a big turn off. Sheets were dirty and never cleaned.
