Tha room, bed, tv and general facilities are quite good and modern/well kept.
The bad:
They let me hanging. When made the reservation was contacted by the hotel offering a transportation service (not free but charged to the bill) which I contracted. After asking for flight and schedule details, they assured someone was going to be waiting for me at the airport upon my arrival. It never happened. I called the hotel and no solution was offered. It put me in a delicate situation as I did not get any ATM local cash at the immigration airport counting on it and taxis do not take credit cards in the country. Other than meaningless apologies, the hotel didn't really give a dime to the trouble they caused and iI ended up wasting more mo ey just in the calls I had to make (inter national call in roaming)
Because of COVID the hotel eliminated room service printed menus from the room, and set up a QR code system where you see the menu and place your order. Nothing wrong with it and pretty common these days in many restaurants...the thing is it does not work: plates in the menu do not have anything to do with what the restaurant offers and the online order never gets to the restaurant staff. After waiting for one hour for my meal I ended up having anyway to call, discuss the menu verbally and wait again for 30 minutes to finally have dinner. All this the very same day the taxi issue happened.

In my opinion, besides the good location, the best perk was being able to open the windows to this hotel and sleep with fresh air (vs air conditioning). We didn't realize this, until that first night, it smelled like someone was smoking and we discovered you can open the windows! Changed my life for the rest of the stay. :)
Clean, comfy room, Bed was memory foam but comfy. Front desk was very friendly and helpful. They even do currency exchange with no added fees!
Room was lacking in tissues. Had to use toilet paper for everything. They took our hand towels away and had to ask for it back, and even then, only got 1 instead of 2.
Easy walk to nice restaurants and Parque Lleras. Felt very safe the whole time.

The hotel offers all the comfort and features of a high class hotel. Rooms are spacious and well equipped, personnel kind. The breakfast also good. Some point to improve: the availabiliy of a change of foreign currency other than USD, as ATM seems to have problems with foreign cards. The quality of the restaurant (we were there for a dinner) both in terms of food and service might be improved to match the standards the structure offers in other services and facilities.

We booked this hotel for one night. They did not have any king size beds available so I booked a room with two double beds. We got to the hotel at 9pm exhausted from our day. Rudely greeted by Juan Pablo ( the front desk supervisor). My wife is from Medellin and gets along with everyone. He begins to say that we will need to pay an additional $30 because our reservation was for only one person. Who books a room with two beds for one person? He states not my problem, you can cancel you reservation or pay. I booked through Expedia so I know that I won’t be able to just cancel my reservation. Exhausted and frustrated I pay this insane additional cost in order to get some rest. I would not recommend this hotel as there personnel is not friendly and they try to take advantage of people. I give them a one star rating as the WiFi was good enough for me to lay in bed and write this review. The room was marginal, very hard pillows.

We are very disappointed with this hotel. I’ve heard it is good in another city, don’t know. But in Medellin there is no way this can be a 5 star. There is no hair dryer, no iron or iron board in the room, not even coffee, tea or a small bottle of water for free as it is usually offered when you arrive in any simple hotel! The amenities are of a 2 star hotel, very poor. Not to mention that I asked for a towel in the pool and never saw that! The breakfast is good though.

The building and location is just fabulous. However, for a such a well known hotel it was lacking in amenities. Basic necessities like an iron, shower caps, non-working safe, non-working TV remote were lacking. The staff are helpful and responsive.
The restaurant we visited was just awful. They did not charge us for an asian fried rice dish which was saltier than the dead sea!
It would be helpful if the reception would provide some advice/tips to tourists about how to go about the town and recommend tourist guides/services.

The worst service out off all hotels we stayed at in Colombia and outside . It all started out with us requesting a higher up floor away from the elevator juts to get the closest room to the elevator at the bottom floor. But. That’s is based on the availability so no big deal.
After we have arrived and checked in, we found out there’s no coffee machine or hot water dispenser ( also the only hotel who didn’t provide water ). We were proudly told by the bell boy that they have 24 hour room service and we can request hot tea. We have tried numerous times on different days to call room service , front desk , guest services - the phone was ALWAYS busy. The blow dryer in the room didn’t work. Took a miracle to get the new one. Maid service didn’t change our towels or provided more shampoo. But the last draw for us was when a maintenance guy barged in ( my friend did open the door but asked to come back, juts to be ignored ) while I was in a shower. 2 single women. I come out in a towel and we have a strange man working on something on the ladder. ( we didn’t request it and asked for him to please come back in 30 min when we would leave the room ).
When I brought it up to the front desk , he barely looked at us. When I went downstairs to ask for hot water - never got it. It was the worst hotel experience. Rude. Indifferent We stayed at the Hyatt in other cities and the service was impeccable.

It’s a real 3*+ hotel. Very good located near de Lineal la Presidenta Park. Close to downtown area. You can go by foot a lot of places. In the hotel you have pool and gym (a pity, the gym need maintenance. If one can put some oil in the machines, they will fonction much better! And inside the gym is kind of dirty). Hotel rooms are spacious and most of them have nice view. There is a panorama restaurant on top floor which give you 360’C city view of during the diner. The service in the hotel is very friendly. I’ll absolutely recommend friends to stay at this place.

Modern, clean, safe , kind n helpful tyical Colombian staff especially Senor Camilo , chef Carlos and Edwin. Kund waiters especially Senor Jose . Good location. No negatives . Suggestion - Please add a Sauted vegetable and one chicken and one fish dish to your breakfast buffet. Too many fried and red meat dishes are not healthy.

Room itself looked brand new. A bit of a hassle to figure out AI-control of shades but TV especially hard. Room is poorly lit and walls are a bit noisy. Beds were average (not big fan of putting sheets on top of plastic mattress protection). Bathroom/shower/toilet was awesome. Cleaning was subpar both in the room and around the hotel. Other staff experience was mixed in restaurants (not trained we thought) and front desk (less than impressed with 3 different folks). Breakfast was fantastic.

i am sorry i do not have an answer for you. but i am sure they have rooms equip for this.. when you go to check-in be sure and ask for Liliana, Helen or July . i am sure they will be able to take good care of you.
Sorry so late - Dann Carlton "El Poblado" fits all your describes need...except check out the room they give you before you "officially" accept with the condition to change it if your not satisfied. Some of the rooms are in need of serious updating...others are great. Wifi is not so good by the outdoor exercise area and their spa is a bit small -Make sure the local soccer team is not playing/staying in town. They give them the best rooms. We couldn't get a suite our entire stay (10 days) because of them...at no price we offered. The service was extremely good. The Inter-Continental is also good rooms but staff tend to be a it "snootier" and very westernized. You lose a bit of the "southern hospitality" but the grounds are also very nice. Food is excellent at both places for the breakfast that comes included. Buffet style.
Eat where the locals eat - some of the best food was the cheapest we paid for- although even the "high-end" cuisine is very inexpensive. Check out Cuzco - a Peruvian influenced restaurant - seafood is amazing. The Cartagena restaurant is better than the one in mMedellin. If you can squeeze in a Cartagena visit - only $60 RT by air and an hour away. Stay in Hotel Santa Theresa - or whatever it is called now. Amazing food/Bar, rooms and Spa. Their restaurant is Michele worthy - although will not likely be submitted for review.
