I hate writing bad reviews but this hostel sucked. The only positive thing was how clean it was, and I guess it's only because there was Noone else staying. We are mind blown at how it has such a high rating. No english, and it was a weird setting. We arrived and we're stared at, as if they never had... More

I got a private room. Great bathroom. Very comfortable space. Internet was better than I have at home in Costa Rica. Excellent stay overall and would return in a heartbeat. A nice mix between a hostal and a hotel.

Felipe, the host/owner of Hostal Antiguo was super helpful and understanding. He helped us start our short journey in Colombia and continued to do so even from afar. The Hostal is super clean and tidy with a good vibe and tasty coffee. It's conveniently located close to touristic sites and the metro. Highly recommended.

What a find. Hostal Antiguo is all chic, refinement and charm fitted with high-end tech, kitchen and super-friendly employees. Dorms (4, 8 and 12 I think) and private rooms, very secure inside and exquisitely finished. I really didn't want to leave after getting home from a day sightseeing. Located 3/4 blocks behind Plaza Botero it's central for travel on metro... More

We arrived at Medellin Airport from Bogota on October 20th 2015.We took the Airport bus but got off it too early at San Diego Plaza. Better to stay on until it ends at the Nitibara hotel. The bus costs 9000 peseos /passenger (under $4). The approach to Hostal Antigua is not inspiring. The area seems run down but we never... More

What else do you want when traveling to an unknown city? At first I second guessed our decision to come to this hostel as our cab driver couldn't find it and the area is by bars and street walkers. I stayed here in a private room with our own shower with my wife and kids. The room was spotless and... More

Hostal Antiguo was simply perfect. The place is gorgeus, beds are comfortable and most importantly the staff are great. There was a mix up with my reservation and the situation was handled in most efficient and professional manner, i was truly impressed. Highly recommended!
