Location is excellent main bars and tourist place 15min to 20min depending on traffic should cost about £3. Get taxi from hotel ideally or Uber.
All staff were professional and polite, rooms are spacious and contemporary. Cleaners do a fantastic job cleaning the rooms nothing is to much trouble for any staff member .
Breakfast area large and very clean and plenty of choice. Albeit I ordered a freshly made omelet and bacon to order at no cost most days.
Sebastian in reception was very polite and helpful with places to visit and clubs to go to ……especially for a takeaway 😀.
All aspects of the hotel were of a high standard. The pool on the roof was an ideal place to relax with stunning views.
Highly recommend this hotel.

We had our wedding in Medellin and had our entire family and friends stay at this hotel and it was the best decision we made! Everything was prefect. From the moment you walk into the lobby everything is so beautiful and everyone is so welcoming. Claudia the director of events is hands down the best coordinator. She made the booking process so easy for all of our guests and was always readily available on site. She let me borrow the conference room for day of make up and hair. The level of customer service here is beyond anything I’ve ever experienced!! The rooms are big and spacious with floor to ceiling windows with the best views of the city! Our guests enjoyed the new rooftop bar and it quickly became the meet up and hang out spot for us. The drinks were delicious (one of the best Espresso martinis I’ve ever had). I can’t say enough about our experience and the ones our guests had. The day after our wedding most of the staff came up to me to ask how it went and how happy they were for me. So many special moments that you typically don’t find at hotels. Their staff truly cares about you and your experience and it showed everyday we were there. Andres, Edison and Juan Pablo who work the lobby are top of the line professionals! We were so sad to leave and can’t wait to go back!!

I was traveling to Medellin Colombia for a six night stay in January 2023, while attending a conference. When booking my airline ticket I had the option to choose reservations from among the top hotels in Medellin in which to stay. The York luxury suites really impressed me. I didn’t just get a hotel room, I stayed in a small suite, which included a very comfortable king size bed, a sitting area, and a small kitchenette with modern amenities. Everything is well designed and upscale, clean, well-kept, and functional. It was nice to get up in the morning and say “OK Google, open the curtains”, and watch the curtains automatically open. So many things about this hotel, impressed me, from the multilingual staff, the prompt service of housekeeping, the top quality restaurant that also offered a 24 hour room service menu, laundry service, small workout, gym, and a rooftop infinity pool. I was even impressed that the hotel had connections with a local bank and was able to offer a currency exchange through a courier at a competitive rate, along with a nearby pharmacy, and in-house taxi service. The York Luxury Suites hotel is located in the Poblado District, an upscale neighborhood, with two major malls nearby. This is a relatively safe and picturesque area of Medellin. This is a hotel that’s high on my list of places to stay when I visit Colombia. It is worthy of a revisit. Terrible travel experience at York Luxury Suites Medellin Colombia. Terrible noise in the rooms, discriminating front desk staff and very bad service. In all the rooms the noise is terrible, since this establishment is located between two very noisy avenues and they did not take this into account in its construction, they should have put windows against noise.
The front desk staff discriminates against incoming guests. At my check in I was told "Colombians and Venezuelans are not allowed to enter" because it gives a very bad image to the hotel, being that it is a hotel that is in Colombia. This comment was made by a person named "Luis".
The service is very slow, you can be an hour and a half in the restaurant and they do not bring you your food, which are not of good quality and the price is very high. A hamburger for example with lettuce that is already rusty and old.

It's sad for me to write a bad review because the hotel rooms were amazing but I do not have option. I reserved a type of room in advantage and when I arrived to the hotel I notices the front desk girl was taking lot of time and then called a supervirsor or something like that, and they talked and talked. She offered me a soft drink and then the bad news. The room I reserved was not available because another guess decided to leave his bags there and left town. So without any remorse they told me the room was not available, then offered me another room with a supposed discount. What else can I do if was already there, so I took the room with the "discount", later I realized that on their website the room was $20 USD cheaper than the rate they gave me even when the "discount". I have to say that the room was excellent, the view form there was beautiful, but the whole situation kill the feeling so I prefer to stay all day away and didn't hang on the hotel. When I check out I asked the front desk girl about the rate and that I found a better rate on their website and she just told me "that's weird". For a supposed premium hotel the less I expected was for them to email me as soon as they found the room would be available, but my real expectation was for they to honor the reservation as every other hotel on the world does.

My husband and I decided to do a destination wedding in Medellin, Colombia. Being from Colombia, I knew I wanted family and friends to experience a little bit of the country before celebrating our big day with us. Planning a destination wedding is no easy feat. We decided to recommend that our guests stay at the York upon their arrival and I do not regret it. The York offered us great discounted rates for guests and David Sanchez, our group coordinator, was the absolute best. His responses were always timely and his recommendations were always right on point. He was incredibly flexible. I asked so many questions and reached out more times than I can count and he was always available. He helped organize all of my guests rooms, help me rent out a space for a rehearsal dinner and made the necessary accommodations so that we could get ready before the wedding ceremony there. He made sure everything leading up to my wedding day would be as smooth as possible. Additionally, I’d like to say that the customer service at the York is unmatched! My sister-in-law has two baby boys that needed a crib and the team helped to rearrange the entire room so that they would be comfortable. All of my friends and family had nothing but amazing things to say about the staff working there. Everyone was always present and available to help when needed. We’re so thankful for the York and everyone who helped make our wedding possible! Thank you for making this bride one less stressed bride ♥️ RECOMMEND 10/10.

I was here visiting for a week with my flag football team and I’ll just say my experience here was nothing short of amazing! From the easy booking through our contact, Claudia, to the hotel staff being so attentive and helpful, to the cleanliness and overall good vibes, I will definitely be coming back to stay here! The daily breakfast (which was included in our stay) was soooo delicious! Fresh fruit and so many other options, and good selections for us veggie/fish eaters. And the restaurant food was yummy too. The staff was just so nice, I tipped them extra everyday because of how helpful they were. The hotel also offers transportation (at additional cost) to and from the airport, they will call someone to come to the hotel (even to your room) to exchange your money, and had someone help me with my bags when I first arrived. It’s also located about 15-20 minutes away from everything we wanted to do so we could walk if we wanted and there’s a super market right down the street and a food court right before and a 24-hour gas station next door. Overall 10/10 would recommend.

The hotel itself is beautiful but certainly has many "issues" to work on. I spoke with the customer service manager (Liliana) before checking out with a long list of issues. She was very pleasant and listened however she did not pass on the information and no one called me back to discuss or make any adjustments. I have made several attempts in contacting her or her supervisor (Amanda) and no one has responded. This issue was one of my concerns originally as no one responded to my request prior to checking in to have the room decorated for my sister who was celebrating her 60th birthday. I have to say that we stayed during the flower festival and the room rate was quite high so we really were surprised that the service, personnel and amenities did not meet our expectations. How can you not reply to several emails, texts and phone calls...Pretty Sad!!!

We loved this hotel. It is in a great location, the rooms are spacious, it has all of the amenities that you need (some for a fee) and it has beautiful views! The staff are friendly and welcoming. It was a pleasure staying there.
Restaurant: we ate there once and was not too fond of the food. It reminded me of medium quality cruise or resort food. I don’t know if they have an actual kitchen or if they are warming the food up. In any event, we went once, but decided not to go back. They have a mini bar with snacks and other useful items for a fee. There is a gas station next door where things are cheaper than the mini bar.
My only complaint is that upon check out, someone from the front desk has to physically go to your room to see what you used from the mini bar and then they tell you what you owe. Not a big issue, but upon check out we were headed to the airport and didn’t have time to wait for this to happen, but we had no choice. In any event, we got it sorted and was on our way. Keep that in mind and leave additional time for check out. Almost forgot: We needed a bigger car than what we usually got with Uber and the front desk staff quickly arranged for a car to pick us up!
Other than the check out debacle our stay was perfect!

This is one of the best hotels that I have stayed at and I am an avid traveler. I was celebrating my birthday and from the beginning when I checked in Andres was so nice and pleasant. He took our bags up and gave me recommendations of things to do. The food was delicious, the pool was beautiful and the roof top bar was incredible. The area felt safe and was located in a perfect location that allowed me to move around in Uber's easily. The view was breathtaking from both our room and from the roof top pool/bar. All of the staff made us feel at home and were all so polite and courteous. The hotel was clean and well maintained. Edison was so nice and on our last day he held our bags after we checked out because our flight was late at night and we still wanted to explore the city with no luggage. I enjoyed my time at this hotel and will defiantly stay again! If you are looking for a hotel in the area I highly recommend the York Luxury Suites Medellin! - Also, Carlos at the roof bar was the best. He was so sweet and patient and made the best drinks!
