Actually did not stay in this hostel since it was fully booked every day but I booked 3 very cool tours they organise. The staff is very friendly, organised and the hostel has a great laid-back overall vibe.

Loved this place. We stayed 14 days total, one week doing spanish and then a few weekends having fun. The hostel provides for any situation. Private Rooms and dorms are comfortable and clean, kitchen is big and they have three good common areas. Main thing is the staff. All are so lovely, informed and try hard to help you have...

Really enjoyed my stay here. I only stayed one night, in a comfortable private room with private bath. Then a week later needed a place to relax while I waited for my flight and they let me spend a couple hours there. They have hammocks and a tv room to relax in, and nice clean bathrooms near the hang-out areas....

There is so little wrong with this hostel that i would almost encourage them to turn the place into a boutique hotel. The rooms are generous, good sturdy beds and the showers are hot (which is a welcome relief to a weary traveller). There is a fantastic TV room where you can catch all sport and movies, a number of...

Thanks a lot for your comments Daniel I have owned the Black Sheep for almost twelve years now. Probably some day in the future we may well turn the place into as you suggest a boutique hotel.. double the prices half as many people. better stuff etc. Meanwhile I'm pretty happy keeping a mix of 22 private rooms and 38...

Had an amazing time in Medellín. The Black Sheep was an ideal base to explore the city. It's about a 10/15 min walk to the Zona Rosa, close to the Metro for getting to downtown, close to a massive Éxito supermarket. The staff were really helpful for booking taxis, tours, city information, printing boarding passes etc. While not necessarily a...

thanks a lot we definitely take you back again as well the hostel does indeed get lively sometimes... a good mix of people and cheap beer and no bar so you can bring in your own wines and spirits help. cheers Kelvin

Great helpful staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Chilled vibe. Not a party hostel but the party can start and end there and usually does. Comfort and chill. Great kitchen for for guest use! Tours and info about the area are energetically articulated! They even throw in a wee map! Don't think. Just go there! We stayed for a month!

Myself and a friend shared a private room that pretty much felt like a hotel. It was clean, had its own clean bathroom and a TV. The hostel at the time was nice and quiet but the lively are of El Poblado was very near (10 min walk). Staff were very friendly and helpful, it had everything you need. Good...

Was there last week and will be returning in a few days, Have been staying here on many occasions. I all ways get one of the private rooms up stairs and like to head down stairs and meet some of the back packers passing though. Love the fact that there is a cooler near the door were you can always...

This is a great place to stay in Medellin. Firstly the staff are all very friendly and really helpful with any questions you may have about the city, tours, sites to see or just getting around. We stayed in a private room which was very comfortable, clean and reasonably quiet for a South American hostal. The shower had hot water,...

The hostel was very nice! Private ensuite room looked like a hotel room. Location was very close to poblado metro station, which we used a lot to get into town. 15 min walk to zone rosa, where you can have dinner and great nights out!! Taxi was only 5000 pesos. No party hostel but nice atmosphere and if you wanted...
