After 4 days trekking to Ciudad Perdida we were hoping for an oasis of tranquility and we certainly found it. From the wonderful welcome to the fantastic junior suite and excellent breakfasts we loved the Alfiz. Staff were wonderful and friendly throughout helping with restaurant recommendations and a day trip to Islas Rosarios. The junior suite was cool, spacious and...

Gorgeous boutique hotel. We had the junior suite and it was a wonderful place to relax and refresh in between exploring the city. All the front desk staff are friendly and sweet. We enjoyed a bountiful breakfast every morning as well as the lovely roof terrace and plunge pool! It's also conveniently close to a mini-market, pharmacy & ATM.

This is one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had!! I absolutely loved the location. It is in the heart of the Old City. My room was perfect!! Loved my bed, the shower and tub was amazing, I showered several times a day just to enjoy the fact that I was showering in a tub that appeared it...

We had an excellent 3 night stay at the Hotel Alfiz and can't wait to go back. From our airport pick up to the morning breakfasts and everything in between the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was fabulous. The location is perfect for all of the sites in the walled city, walking to shops and restaurants...

We preferred a few other hotels to stay at throughout our traveling, but the location & service was fantastic here. It's conveniently located in the Centro neighborhood and in the dead center of all the fun shops & restaurants. Complimentary, top notch coffee at all hours of the day is always a nice touch in my book.

Cartagena is a tremendous place to visit but tourism is the big industry and you can often feel as much a walking business prospect as a welcome visitor. All the more reason to be grateful for the sanctuary of the Alfiz. Step through the big wooden door off the teeming streets into a small palace, cool, calm and characterful. We...

Look no further- you can't go wrong at the Alfiz. Great breakfast made to order with veg options, really nice staff (say hi to Sally and Yorleidy for us!). They helped us set up transportation to Santa Marta and booked us a trip to an island for a day.

thank you for your nice words and of course Sally and Yorledy sends greetings to you as well! We always try to help with travel arrangements as sometimes we know can be very complicate and time demanding to coordinate it from abroad! Have a nice time!

My experience after a 6-night stay at the Al Fiz was such that I am ambivalent about whether it deserves a moderately high evaluation or a low score. Without a doubt, the staff was kind, courteous and super-accommodating, and I had an absolutely wonderful suite at this boutique hotel in the walled city of Cartagena. I had a very pleasant...

We wanted to stay in the old city area of Cartagena, rather than the resort area. Keep in mind that the hotels within the walls are boutique style hotels, and are not modern, ultra-luxurious hotels. But if you want a more authentic experience, conveniently located in the heart of the city, I highly recommend staying here. The staff here were...
