We went for lunch at their beautiful restaurant Amadeus and ended up changing our hotel for this one because of HOW NICE people were, and how BEAUTIFUL the place was!! In my opinion, this is the best option there is in Cartagena, located at the center of the city, amazing food and beautiful rooms! 😍 we got to meet the owner and he was so nice as well! You won’t regret staying at the most beautiful house in Cartagena (how locals call it and we confirm it), it is full of history! It also has a pool and an upstairs deck with a jacuzzi! 100% recommended ❤️

Casa Pestagua is very well located: centrally but still in a quiet corner of the city so you will not hear noise and can relax. It is a very nice old house with only 11 rooms, all individually decorated, all very nice and cozy. Our room was huge, with nice furniture, a huge bathroom and a large living area. Yes it is an old house so sometimes water is not immediately hot, windows open not always easily but this is absolutely no issue, every old house faces these situations. There is a nice patio with restaurant as well as a second patio with a nice large Pool. It is so nice to relax at the pool after a stroll in the city. The restaurant is good, very good breakfast choice. Also lunch and dinner including wine selection is very good. But what sets this hotel apart is the manager Claude and all of his staff. They are extremely nice and charming and do their very best to make you fell at home. It is really amazing their kindness, it is impossible not to like this place. A great thank you to the whole crew who made my stay a very special one! Should you happen to be in Cartagena, stay at Casa Pestagua, for me definitely the best choice (Casa Agustin is better known but from my point of view Pestagua is still the much better option!)

We stay at and visit quality hotels all around the world and were hugely impressed with the professionalism, courtesy, and welcoming charm we received from all the staff we had the pleasure of interacting with at the hotel. In particular, we wanted to mention Johanne and Orlando who looked after us as if we were very good friends. We had both a lunch and dinner in the restaurant during our short time in Cartagena as we enjoyed it so much. Definite five stars and thank you very much for the great food, warmth and hospitality that made for a wonderful and memorable experience.
