New owners, if we understand the situation, have taken on a challenge! Ironically, we got what we wanted: 8 days of peace and quiet. We read. Slept. Took it easy. Staff are great. But food is not great. We couldn't understand why no fresh seafood. The menu needs major work. Mini bar inadequate. Pool was bloody freezing! Needs solar boost...

Great place to relax, very small and charming hotel. The service was excellent. The room very comfortable with a great view. Get ready to climb the stairs. It is worth to go snorkeling in Islas del Rosario.

We're on our honeymoon and stayed 3 nights at this perfect little hotel. There are only 6 beautiful rooms and it felt like we were the only ones here! It is stylish and everyone working here is sweet and helpful. Location - perfect. Cute little street with a coffee shop across the street, a pizza shop where the locals hang...

Agua Hotel was perfect for us stay in August 2013. We were two women traveling to Cartagena for pleasure, speaking limited Spanish. Agua is beautiful from the front door. The decor is resort chic, and so comfortable. We felt "at home" in all the common areas, as well as in our room. We had a smaller room, but it was...

I am an extreme world traveler and my standards are high. Traveling to Cartagena on a recent business trip, my colleague from Bogota recommended the Agua Hotel for ambiance and location. As has already been stated, the location is excellent, walking distance to all the sites in the old city and every top shelf restaurant you would want to dine...

We have just stayed three days in this beautiful small boutique hotel. You come in from the bustling street to this oasis of calm - it has been beautifully decorated keeping the stone walls & columns but with excellent use of mirrors, plants & water to make it seem much larger than it is. There are only 5/6 rooms but...

What a great sigh of relief I had when I first entered the door. The owners have exquisite taste. Amazing attention to detail and every corner is picture perfect. Sometimes hotels can be gorgeous to look at but not entirely functional but here it is both. I don't know how they did it but everything is pristine and clean which...

Thsi is a little boutique hotel in the heart of the old city of Cartagena. I was told this was in fact the first boutique hotel in Cartagena about ten year ago. The standards are really high, what you would expect in an outstanding hotel. It has only like 6 rooms and this makes it really special. The staff were...

We stayed at Agua Hotel for three nights in November. The Hotel is gorgeous and all the staff are delightful and eager to please. The rooms well appointed but no mini bar, the beds are comfortable and the air-conditioning very efficient (and it needs to be in Cartagena). We stayed in room 4 which was small and the en suite...
