This is the hotel where you want to stay in El Centro. It's on the edge of the old city center near the clock tower. Unless you plan on spending all of your time in the old city of Cartagena, taxis and getting around can be a challenge. This hotel is close enough to the walls that you can easily...

Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and spoke great English. Room was huge and didn't cost much. King size bed and large walk-in shower. Breakfast was delicious and included. Roof terrace was cosy but a really nice place to relax at the end of the day, and a small but refreshing pool. Other reviewers have mentioned noise - there is...

The employees are very friendly, competent and helpful - they deserve the max points. The rooms are quite small. The real drawback is the noise at night. Recently, a disco opend next door and blares its bad music at highest volume in the otherwise quiet night. Forget sleep - which is somehow the pomt of taking a hotel.

I read many reviews of this hotel before my selection. Yes, there were some noisy nights, but ear plugs will take care of that. Cartagena is a vibrant area with people partying sometimes late at night. I chose this hotel based on its proximity as well as the fact that is was quite intimate in regard to only having ten...

I liked this hotel and liked the rooms. The staff was great and accommodating. The room i had on the street was a bit loud but the staff was able to move me- I was there during a national holiday/festival. With that said: i found the mattresses very comfortable. The breakfast was simple but very good. And the plunge pool...

This hotel is steps away from the clock tower within the walled city. The service was top notch -- everyone was kind and attentive. The hotel itself is an old structure that has thick walls and a lot of character. Amenities include wifi and a small rooftop pool, which is a godsend on a 100+ degree Cartagena day. The rooms...

Great little hotel in the heart of the walled city. We had a room on the second floor not too far from the pool. The bed was very big and comfortable. The location is perfect, everything within Cartagena is no further than 10 minutes away on foot. Breakfast is simple and they offer eggs to order. The staff is super...

Lovely little hotel. Great staff, really friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable large and clean. Location was perfect. A very short walk from the clock tower which is where many of the tours begin and is a good reference point for getting around the old town. Breakfast was very good, and we loved the fact that they offered a...

Las Carretas is truly a gem. It's located within the walled city of Cartagena and just steps away from Torre del Rejoj. The hotel was in the perfect location for food, exploration, and nightlife. They do a wonderful fresh breakfast spread and a currency exchange is also open on the 1st floor during business hours. All of the staff were...

This is a beautiful hotel within walking distance to everything in the walled city. The room was very nice, and we loved the rooftop pool as well as the daily breakfasts. The employees were very kind and friendly.
