Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We walked in without a reservation. The staff were very friendly and checked us in very quickly. We had to wait 10 minutes until they fixed our room, which was completely fine since we didn't had a reservation. They offered us coffee / tee, which was very kind. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. We would have stayed longer, but they were fully booked the following day.

Had a great 4 nights at this lovely hotel. Friendly staff, clean room, good WiFi, comfy beds, aircon and great location. Room was small but we were out and about most of the time. Shower is cold but we’ve not had one hot shower in Colombia so it wasn’t a problem. Great budget accommodation.

Absolutely fantastic value for money; incredibly clean, excellent AC or fan if you prefer, good shower, comfy beds, beautifully decorated, excellent location (right in the heart of Getsemaní), friendly staff, free coffee and tea... Not sure what else you could possibly want for $26 a night (booking.com price). I think the people complaining have unrealistic expectations and ought to start paying for the sort of accommodation they think they should be getting rather than damaging the reputation of amazing little gems like this. I almost didn't book because of some of the negative comments! So glad I did. (PS, no sign of insects whatsoever). Tip: request room 110!!!

The hospitality was fantastic. Little things like the fact that the housekeeping lady asked after my wife when she’d been sick and the man at the front desk remembered what day we were to check out and offered to arrange a taxi, made us feel very welcome. Also the hotel has a lovely dog, Lulu, who hangs out in the front desk area and specializes in being very cute. The location is right by the walled city and walking distance from some nice restaurants, a market, a SIM card retailer, and a laundromat/cafe called “beer and laundry”. Finally, the rooms and the hotel were extremely clean - no bugs (the same could not be said for a restaurant not far away), no vermin, everything smells nice. Also, the AC is fantastic, and there is 24 hour reception. A few things to keep in mind, not all rooms have windows to the outside and when approaching from the airport it may not be clear how nice the area actually is. Also, an ability to communicate a little in Spanish is super helpful.

Really nice hotel in the best location. Street is really safe and walking distance to everything. Lots of great cafes and street vendors nearby, colourful street and around the corner from Plaza de la Trinidad, which is absolutely buzzing every night. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable rooms with good a/c.

Nice little hotel in a pretty good location but they need to fumigate more because there were tonnes of insects. Pros - nice rooms with good facilities, good AC, plenty of room, good location, cleaners are friendly and always around Cons - there was bird poop on our sheets, there were 2 giant cockroaches in our room (to be fair, when we complained they moved us), beds were pretty firm, a lot of noise so it’s tough to sleep

Clean and tidy hotel. You have aircon, cable t.v. and very comfortable beds. Very nice and friendly staff and they seem to be very passionate about their job. We really enjoyed our stay and very happy with our choice. Gracias

I am pretty easy to please. This hotel was exceptionally well positioned for exploring Cartagena. The men who were at the front desk during my stay were unfailingly polite and helpful about all my questions (and gave excellent suggestions/recommendations). I asked to be relocated to a room in the back of the hotel which eliminated any street noise.

The hotel looks very nice. The rooms are clean but we had some ants in there. After we told the hotel personal that they came with an anti ant spray and the problem was solved. But really annoying was that noise. You hear everything from the neighbors. But also the personal was very loud during the night. We will never come back.
