The staff is wonderful and very welcoming. Shared helpful recommendations on where to eat and what to visit. The rooms are small, but very clean. Great location, walking distance from all the main sites in the historical district.

Portal de San Diego Hotel is centrally located in the historic district of Cartagena, within walking distance of a variety of bars and restaurants. The hotel resides on the 2nd and 3rd floors of a restored colonial-style building (there is no elevator, just stairs). The room had a large, comfortable bed and the AC worked like a charm. You can...

This hotel has many good things going for it (see below) but our room was impossibly small. And that's coming from someone who lives in a Manhattan apartment. There was barely any room to move around the bed, and absolutely no place to put our bags, even though we only had backpacks. The room also had no window, only shutters...

The hotel is well located within the Colonial area. The staff is very attentive to any request or need. This is a freshly remodeled histoical house. Very simple and clean, but not fancy. The rooms are small, but we dont spend much time in them. The bathrooms have shower with hot water and again, very clean. small refigerator, ac, and...

Central location in the walled city is a bonus. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Room was very clean comfortable and with working AC and hot water. Internet was suitable for Skype calls. Provided morning breakfast was complete with a bowl of fruit, omelette ,toast, glass of juice and coffee or tea.

Second time I stay in Portal de San Diego Hotel. This is a boutique hotel in a great location. Good value and ideal place to stay in to see all what Cartagena has to offer. Walking distance from anything in the old city. Clean rooms, good AC and friendly staff. This is not a 6 star hotel, but rather, just...

Pros: location, close proximity to airport, within "the walls", has AC, in room safe, keyless (keypad) doorlock, great service Cons: no elevator, very small room, same boring breakfast like every other Colombian hotel -- fruit plate, eggs and toast, cup of juice and coffee or hot chocolate, and overpriced (as with everything else in the area)

Positivo: Excelente localização pra quem quer andar a cidade à pé.

A friend and I stayed here for three nights (we originally booked two, but extended once we were there). It is an adorable basic hotel - clean and comfortable with a good breakfast. The rooms may be a bit small, but for us it wasn't an issue as we were out and about most of the time. The location is...
