This hotel have nice facilities nice bedrooms with bed and comfortable mattresses and silk sheets. The fact is only a few staff scratch English makes communication more harder and very unpleasant for both costumers and staff. Is also not nice as costumer you feel they want rip you off even sometimes just few dollars, i think is something they will... More

This was once probably best hotel in town.. These days it is alternative to hostel in "old city". The beds are ok, bed cloth clean. Carpeting needs to be changed. Bathroom acceptable- begging for refresment. Breakfast- ok- typical chinese food, wide choice. My room- no window, choosen in purpose, but barely working A/C was a pain. If I would come... More

It is located at approximately 1 kms away from the train station. When you get out of the train station, turn left and walk along the train station for about 100-150 meters, you will then see a tunnel on the left hand side, take the tunnel even though it looks grim and is really not well lit. It is safe.... More

We arrived at this hotel late (23:00) because of a late train. At that time, nobody was around that understood any English. Also, our reservation could not be found, because all staff could not read our English voucher... Turned out there was a reservation in Chinese, but neither we nor the staff could verify if this was correct. We got... More

When we arrived, everything was oke, except for one of our two bathrooms. The manager was really nice and really tried to help us: he was the only one who speaks a little bit english. We had to make a deposit of 500 yuen and we agreed to pay the rest on the day we would leave. When we came... More

To start with, saying no English staff is not enough. I mean, we've been traveling through China, we know people don't speak English and it's ok. The problem is when the staff is absurd and not very smart, the rest of the places we've been, though they didn't speak a word of English (something understandable), we were able to manage... More

We'd seen this on CTrip, but had a booking elsewhere. On finding how far from the railway station our original booking (the DaTong Youth Hostel) was we decided to look this hotel up. Come out of the train station and turn left. At the end of the station you'll see a tunnel, this will lead you to the road that... More

We got the train from Beijing and found the hotel easily. The hotel is located close to the train station but that's about it. It also has a large spar shop next door which was very useful. On arrival it quickly became apparent that no one spoke English at the hotel and it felt more like a business hotel for... More

Close to the station and a RM6/ 3 minute taxi ride from the train station. Hotel staff somewhat helpful. We were given the honeymoon suite, but the amount of red bedding and creepy "just- married" dolls, were enough to put you off. The door keycard did not work and had to get the housekeeper to open the door each time,... More

We book the hotel via Ctrip.com. The hotel is situated near Datong Railway Station, but if you have heavy cases, then you will need to take a taxi. If you have light luggage, then turn left out of the station and then walk to the subway under the railway lines. The subway looks like something out of a science fiction... More
