We were expecting a wonderful historic hotel set in "acres" of gardens and rooms and suites of elegance! It was far from that we had to walk to our suite in a block and found our suite was a duplex! The gardens were very compressed and there were many cars parked everywhere! Added to which the hotel lies in a...

We've never stayed in a hotel quite like this, surrounded by exquisite gardens, ponds and natural stone structures. The main hotel reception area is delightful and our room in one of the annexes was excellent - and the ability to check out from the annex a bonus. Take a peek at the vintage limousine parked in one of the annexes...

I absolutely love this hotel. We visited Suzhou as a family of four in October: my husband, my mother, my 4-month-old daughter and me. The Garden Hotel has so far the best customer service that we have ever experienced during all our trips (and we have traveled to many places around the world). The hotel is located on a busy...

Location is great, but the service at Front Desk is so slow upon check in. Most of the staff doesn't understand English language and is very hard to communicate. Breakfast buffet spread is bad and quality of food is horrible. Guest rooms are tired and old.

The hotel is located into far from the center of Suzhou, close to all main attractions (e.g. the Master of Nets garden is at 5mn walk). When arriving we where impressed by the hotel traditional design and decorations. We stayed 2 nights in an executive room. Our first impression was excellent. The room looked luxurious and well equipped, but looking...

Very pretty hotel surrounded by a lush garden and ponds. Our room had nice chinese decor but the bed was a bit hard. Overall a very good stay. Breakfast was ample with a lot to choose from. Away from all the busy roads but still very good position for going sight seing.

This is a lovely hotel to stay in but there is a huge language barrier as no one here speaks good English. We found No one here is able to communicate with English speaking guests. We had huge difficulties checking in as The room was not ready, we had a huge problem at the bar when the lady poured a...

We choose a variety of hotels on our tour of China from Hilton to Intercontinental. Not being one of the typical western brands I was a little unsure of the type of room and experience we might get. The pictures looked good on the booking site and the location fairly central to attractions. When we arrived I was most impressed....
