Situated on on of the many busy roads in Wuhan, it is a little noisy, but very convenient for crossing the River. Smorgasbord breakfast was convenient and functional. The business centre was also very accommodating. Staff could work on their customer service, but this a universal problem in China.

Now dated and not worth 5 star rating. The room in which I stayed really needed basic renovation, maintenance, carpet cleaning, refit door hinges, etc The higher rooms may be renovated. Very good breakfast buffet with good variety. Staff were very helpful and courteous.

This hotel used to live up to its 5-star (by Chinese standards) rating. In the US this would be a 2- or 3-star hotel. It is obvious that "Non-smoking" is just a suggestion rather than an actual rule, as the smell of cigarette smoke is everywhere. (The elevators are the worst.) The reception staff speak adequate English but really just... More

This hotel does not come with free breakfast. You do not need one at the hotel. Restaurants and food outlets are in vicinity. Fast food too is nearby. This hotel provides free WIFI. ZhongNan subway station is just 10 minutes away. So is Zhong Shan shopping mall. This hotel is in the middle between East Lake and GuiYuan Temple. It... More

Made a last minute reservation from the USA. The hotel didn't have the reservation so check in took some time. Eventually figured it out. Usually, the check in process if fast and smooth. Room is nice with some typical (for China) burned carpet from cigarettes. Bed is firm but not as firm as many places. Finally, there is wi-fi in... More

The hotel is a better choise compared to standard chinese hotels, but does not catch up to other Best Western Hotels in Europe or America. The area is full of construction sides that makes any room in the hotel noisy. As everywhere in China it is a good idea to bargain with the receptionist about the price. Wifi is pretty... More

This is a nice hotel but in desperate need of refurbishment. The room was very big and well equipped with everything you expect. The bed was firm but comfortable and the bathroom was good. The main drawback is that everything is clearly old. The lamp shade was stained and moldy and the floor was very uneven. It seemed as though... More

Carpet was dirty & filthy with stains all over the room. I have attached some of the pictures that I took to confirm the issue. Some part of the floor was uneven - trip hazard. Molds could be found in the sink and shower area. I stayed at a few Best Western in Canada / USA before and they were... More
