Checkin was easy and efficient.
The hotel is obviously new and very clean.
I found the hotel noisy. My room(1809) had a lot of road noise and all the rooms face out onto main roads so I suspect they are all the same. Also, my room had a strange vibration noise like when you open a car window at speed - it was very annoying. Also, the corridors have annoying piped music and around the pool the same piped music very loud - just one of the annoyances of modern life but I try to avoid these hotels. The piped music is everywhere in this hotel. Sound insulation between room was also very poor.

I wanted western food and I found the food was surprisingly very good.

The broadband internet connection was very slow.

To get to the pool was a major hassle. All the doors to the pool were locked and obviously someone was watching on the security cameras so one of the staff turned up and asked what I was doing - he then let me into the pool area.

My company organised this hotel but if I return to Shenzhen I would not return to this hotel.

The price was reasonable for a five stars hotel. I stayed there for ten nights and I liked how they treat their guests :)

Breakfast was awesome. There is no "Halal" food but still you can pick from lots of other options :)
What I liked the most is the gym. It was well equipped and not very crowd.

Rooms are nice, tidy and clean.

The hotel is located near to SEG Electronics Market. Also one of the metro stations is just a step from the hotel.

stayed for 3 nights on business - room was spotless, nice view over the shopping mall...

1st floor 'westerm bar' serves good steaks - however, my colleague and myself were the only persons in it !!..breakfast was ok but expensive...

Theres two gift shops on the first floor - one a cheap and cheerful tourist shop the other a genuine antique shop - good for a visit, or to actually buy something if you are extremely rich - serious artifact prices went up to US.$100k .

First floor also has a 'passion club' - girls looked stunning at the entrance - did not go in but can well imagine a lot of fun !

Stayed here for 3 nights when on business in Shenzhen. Found the hotel to be of average standard in this price range in china. Security in the hotel was poor with many local working girls in the lobby and bar in the evening. Breakfast was ok, but lacked choice for western tastes. The surrounding area was pretty down market. Won't be staying here again.

I went to this hotel on a business trip.
The hotel is a trip back to the 90's, and the rooms look in the need of a renovation.

I would rate normally a hotel like this with 3/3.5, but as we had the disgusting experience of seeing a rat with the size of a rabbit running freely in the middle of our breakfast...they get what they deserve.
Things got worst as the employees serving breakfast seemed ok with having rats there.

Another thing I could not understand were the portable air conditioning equipment placed in the corridors.

I would not come back to this place. Ever.

Upon check in, I gave my credit card and passport saying check in please, but receptionist doesn't speak at all. He didn't speak anything at all until I stopped him pre-authorizing my credit card. I was asking him how much pre-authorizing and he was telling my room rate and how much he was pre-authorizing but he was supposed to get my permission for pre-authorization first. He never greeted, never re-confirmed anything (C/I, C/O date, rate, room preference, etc), totally unacceptable!!! After the pre-authorization, he still didn't try to speak and tried to finished my check in without any communications, so I was angry at him at the end for almost didnt speak anything for check in process. He escorted me to the elevator as he seemed that he felt bad for my complaint and he apologized me saying his English was not good, but his English was not bad actually which was communicatable and he just didn't try to communicate...

The room was not bad, but wifi was not functioning at all. After my partner came, she also checked the wifi but not working... so we had to room move.

After room move, housekeeping staff wanted to do something in my room, but he knocked 2 times quickly and opened door quickly like less than 5 seconds... no way... this was not proper way to open the guest room door... what if couple is doing something private inside? This would absolutely make potential complaints, luckily we didn't...

The Japanese restaurant is so so... over pricing... I am Japanese and I know this restaurant is not for Japanese natives... If you are Chinese, why not? but if you know the real taste of Japanese foods, please don't give a try.

In general, tel-operator doesn't speak English that good...

Gym and swimming pool facilities are great, maybe the best part of this hotel, but yoga class is so overpricing... we wanted to join yoga class but didn't try due to the price.

One of the worst part was wake up call. First of all, the female receptionists accepted my wake up call around 10 pm was so irritated and rude saying "please call tel-operator" but I insisted her to take it because tel-operator doesn't speak English well...

In the next morning, I woke up 30 mins earlier than wake up call @ 6:20 am and I wanted to stop the wake up call as I didn't want to wake up my girl friend by it. I called down by the phone at the corridor, but the receptionist didn't speak English well and I went down to the reception. Duty manager came up at the reception and I informed him to stop the wake up call @ 6:20am and I saw him writing down to the memo, however, IT WAS RINGING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe it was busy down there at the reception and duty manager forgot to cancel it in the wake up call system............

It's old hotel but rooms had minor renovations and it was not bad. However, the service part was sooooooo bad and no hospitality at all.

I would never recommend this hotel to anyone for sure, but I would come back... as this hotel is unfortunately in front of my partner's company... I hope next stay would be better than what I experienced...

I hope this review will help you not to book this bad hotel.

I booked 2 Executive King rooms for two nights through Agoda for this hotel. My rate included buffet breakfast, 4pm check-out, club lounge access butler service, and free one way transfer from the airport. On arriving at the hotel we were told that no breakfast will be provided. I had taken a screenshot of the booking as well as the room amenities provided on my phone directly from the website I booked from. We are not talking about a 100.00 a night booking. We spent 590USD for 2 nights. The first front desk agent was rude and laughed at us and I was unwilling to help. We walked away when I asked for the manager. I left the counter and another agent came over and said he would like to help us. I asked to speak to the manager. Ms Anna Lui who is a duty manager came over. I explained the situation to her and she seemed uninterested in helping. She suggested we call agoda and told us it's not her problem. I would think it would be easy for her to a either offer us breakfast or b contact agoda herself. I have included screenshots. I showed her screenshots as well and she was unwilling to help. I booked another hotel and contacted agoda who in turn advised me of the error the hotel made and fully refunded me. Not sure why the hotel is willing to take a 590 USD loss in revenue over several buffet breakfasts which was clearly an error. I stood by principal as the money involved was marginal.

This is a typical hotel managed by a domestic company. Generally speaking, it's good. But, if compared with a similar hotel managed by foreign companies, such as Marriott, Hilton, etc., there are the following areas which need to be improved:

1. Not very clean. The carpet is kind of dirty.
2. The staff's service needs to be improved.
3. The food for dinner at the hotel restaurant is not good, although it's not cheap.
4. The fitness room is just OK.
5. The CNN TV channel did not work.
6. The staff should be considerate for customers.

On a business trip I stayed a couple of nights at this hotel, the overall experience is very god, except the breakfast items which are pretty limited for international guests, oriented to Chinese people like every place in Shenzhen.

The rooms have to be renovated, they feel a little bit dull, yet it's spacious and clean.
Staff are helpful and fast.

I have stayed here twice. The rooms are very large and the hotel is in a good area. Sometimes the service is amazing, and sometimes you wonder where they all went. But they will take care of anything you need.

The breakfast is not ideal for a Westerner, but there are some decent options.
