The hotel is well located but was not clean & bedcovers were dirty & looked stale. Due to recent Typhoon the hotel was not clean & litter all around. The service was also not up to the mark. Even after so many complaints nothing was done.

So lets be clear this is not a 5* hotel as it advertises, I would say a 3.5* rating would be deserved. Me and a friend stayed here for just a couple of nights. We decided on it for the location. It has a outdoor pool right on the beach front. The room was small but served its purpose. Breakfast... More

I was supposedly "upgraded" to the large attic room in the North facility. This room was disgusting! I had paid for a seaview room. To see the sea, I had to press my face to the window and look to the left to see a sliver of water. The bathroom had no shower, and a very dangerous tub that was... More

We were in the rooms across the street from the main lobby. There are no closets, the carpet is disgusting, and the room is tiny. Restaurants are terrible. Not at all a hotel up to western standards. The pool and location on the beach are good but not worth the lack of upkeep and gross factor.

The Asia Gulf Hotel accommodates guests in handsome villas with comfortable, ample sized bedrooms and a living room, set in elegant tree lined avenues with flowers brought to life with birdsong. The staff are charming and helpful. Breakfasts offer a wide range of good, mostly Chinese food at a reasonable price. There is a large sandy beach and interesting walks.... More

I am living in Xiamen currently so i have chosen this hotel for its location when my family came to visit me. When they arrived after 14+ hours of traveling the check-in procedure was super slow, staff could not speak proper English. They did not have the double beds available, but at least we were offered to move to that... More

Well, where shall I start. First off anyone can be unlucky and get a bad room or a bad meal and go away with an impression of an hotel which is not representative of the norm. I have been working in Xiamen off and on for some time and the company chooses the hotel and pays the bill. This is... More

This was our second trip to the Asia Gulf. We were hoping that this time would be better than the last, but it wasn't. The unfortunate part is that this could be a really nice hotel if the management was better. It is on the beach which is why we stayed there, however this is the ONLY benefit. The food... More

Avoid this place like the plaugue! The food is terrible; the carpets are filthy; the staff is rude. The setting is nice but the rooms are dingy and overpriced. No management is evident and there is never a friendly smile. Reserve your room but don't be surprised if it does not exist when you arrive,. Every toothbrush or cup of... More
