Cabo de Hornos overlooks Plaza de Armas, which is the historic center of Punta Arenas. While the hotel is warm and welcoming from the moment you enter the lobby, the spaces are relatively ample, which makes it a suitable venue for groups. Unlike some other options in town, the hotel has a proper "Patagonia feel". The staff is a bit...

My friend and I stayed at this hotel both on our way to Torres de Paine and on the return trip. W found the hotel to be a nicely appointed in both our rooms and the restaurant/bar. As noted by other reviewers, the location is great since it is right on the tree lined park in the main square and...

Hotel is clean and in a convenient part of Punta Areas. Rooms were fairly large, well maintained and adequately equipped. Elevator and Bar service were slow however and breakfast buffet was fine but limited. Would have preferred that wait staff spoke (better) English, but recognize that I was the foreigner. Had to keep window open to cool the room at...

My wife and I stayed at this hotel twice during our trip to the Torres del Paine. The hotel far exceeded our expectations. It was very clean, well maintained, and comfortable. The hotel staff was courteous and efficient. The hotel is conveniently located within a few blocks of numerous restaurants. For that matter we had dinner in the hotel itself...

Regret that we had only a one-night stop-over, and would recommend this hotel to anyone. It is right next to the town square and walking distance to great views of the Strait of Magellan. The rooms were beautifully appointed, and the breakfast fare far exceeded anything else we had in Chile. I wish we could have stayed for brunch! Perhaps...

Despite the rather dark interior in the reception area and in the bar & dining room, this is a good hotel for a stopover for a night or two. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed and have most of the usual facilities. The staff are helpful and attentive in spite of only a few of them understanding English! The...

Room was nice and clean, but really cold. We stayed 2 night and freezing the second night. We had window to main squash, view was nice but the traffic noise were pretty loud, also dogs barking. Window has covered with painter's tape. Breakfast was normal, not good, not bad, maybe little boring. Staff was mostly nice, sometimes they seemed to...

The location is central, the staff pleasant and efficient and the rooms comfortable. there was a good choice at breakfast and some interesting beer from local breweries in the bar. We only had one night while passing through, but were pleased with our stay.

The Hotel Cabo de Hornos is a good centrally located hotel but be aware that most of the restaurants in the city of Punta Arenas are getting to be exhorbitantly expensive and they serve mediocre food with almost nearly all impolite staff. I think their status as the gateway to Antarctica and the Torres del Payne is getting to their...

Really nice hotel, clean quiet rooms. Downtown location so an easy walk to main shopping area. Good breakfast is included. Very nice bar and not over priced. Staff was courteous and helpful. You can pay with U.S. dollars and skip the taxes that are added on if using pesos. In Argentina you can pay for almost anything with dollars, euros...
