The hotel is in some serious need of updating, but most issues were cosmetic. The location is good, very near the central square. We were there only for one night so that we could take the ferry to the penguin colony, and it was one of the less expensive places we could find. I don't think it's as bad as...

I ended up in Punta Arenas by accident...literally. My partner broke his hip in Antarctica on the 4th day of our 30 day trip. We were air evacuated to Punta Arenas and he had his hip replaced. I moved to this hotel after 2 days at another property. The staff were so helpful. A big thank you and shout out...

This hotel needs to renovate their rooms. Perhaps some have been renovated however, we paid a lot of money to stay in the oldest room I think I've ever seen. The blankets were so old and stained that it was really scary. The carpet and walls were ancient and the room was stinky. I did not look forward to sleeping...

The hotel is very 60's in its decor. Inside is quite dark. The room however was warm, heated, comfortable bed, and good bathroom facilities. The breakfast was quite good with Bain Maries of different foods like eggs, bacon, meats, pancakes, fruit yoghurt, sweet bread rolls and good tea and coffee. The roof top restaurant had a good view of the...

The hotel is clean and the rooms are comfortable. For the price we paid as foreigners, which is at least 50% above what the locals pay, breakfast was mediocre- food which ran out most of the time was not replaced at all, or replaced very slowly. The menu was the same every single day, which is OK, for 1 or 2...

I stayed one night here before moving on to Puerto Natales. The overall impression is that of a hotel that was refurbished about 10 to 15 years ago, and will need another overhaul in 5 years or so. So it's fine without being great, most likely above the average for Punta Arenas. The location is good if you arrive by...

The place had no hot water. after keeping the shower on for a long time we got something colder than luke warm water. Very unpleasant after a 26 hour trip. They did have free wifi and it was centrally located

Nice enough hotel, very warm (temp in the hotel) a few service idiosynchonisis but once you get used to those then it is a nice place to stay, basically don't sweat the small stuff you are on South American time.

Dear Sr. Thank you for your opinion. Can you explain us what do you mean with " a few service idiosynchonisis". Best Regards, General Manager

A large bedroom with a separate desk area but small bathroom. Fast internet in the rooms. Ate in the panoramic restaurant in the evening but fairly standard and overcooked food.

On Feb. 8 and 9, 2012 my husband and I stayed at the Best Western (BW) Finis Terrae in Punta Arenas, Chile. We booked it because it belonged to a well-known chain of hotels and the price was right (our other choice was the Dream Hotel but it was booked). Everything about the hotel appeared to be OK when we...

For your information the bugs die or hibernate under 16 ° C. Punta Arenas has an average temperature of 10 ° C. I think you could carry inside your bag from your country or another hotel from the north of Chile. Furthermore, we have never had these types of claims because we make preventive fumigation.
