The first thing to greet me as I walked through the door was the smell of vomit. Dripping with sweat as the room had no ventilation apart from a window which opened out in to the lounge area where people were partying till 2 am. Noise started again at 7 am. It was either sweat or let the noise amd...

We booked two nights here as a couple in our 30's just as somewhere to sleep so we could explore that area a bit. Unfortunately the tiny unventilated cupboard they had put a bunk bed in with no lock on the door was right next to the check in/lounge area, tv and arcade machine. So that meant the people who...

We stayed at the annexe just 1 block away facing the sea. - it is called 444 Hostal - This was really great. The personnel was nice and cheerful. The dorms are good 6 max and no bunk beds in the main one. We had a nice breakfast cereals and cheese and toasts with tea and coffee. Bathrooms are clean...

We went to The Uma Jaqi Surf Hostal to stay for one night and spend actually a good time there! The staff was always very nice and helpful. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed. The beds are really comfortable! The boy's bathroom wasn't the cleanest neither was it very dirty. The shower was okay, but there is only one bathroom...

We stayed for 3 nights at Uma Jaqi in a private room with a shared bathroom. The set up is a bit confusing, because they actually have two buildings; the first one seemed to have mainly dorms with no kitchen, but an employee saw us walk into this location and ran up to escort us to their other building. Unfortunately,...

The staff were amazingly hospitable and more than happy to help with pretty much anything. It was a very warm, welcoming and family-like environment. Perfect location too! Literally meters from the water and boardwalk. Loads of supermarkets close by. Breakfast was included. Wifi was sometimes slow. The hot water sometimes wasn't hot, just let the staff know as it can...

We stayed here for 5 nights. We loved Iquique and enjoyed everything about our stay... Except for the hostel. Breakfast is minimal, but included so that's nice. The staff was not very friendly and left the common use kitchen a mess all the time. Cockroaches crawled all over the kitchen, especially at night. There is only 1 women's and 1...

If you're a surfer, backpacking around Chile, between the ages of 17 and 25, with low standards of living, no sense of smell or taste, you'll find this place to be satisfactory. Everyone else need not bother. • The breakfast consists of bread with ham. If the staff are feeling like being hospitable you might get scrambled eggs. On occasion,...

The hostel has a very good localization, near the beach cavancha. We stayed in a private room, not so clean, but it was good, confortable and noiseless. The staff is lazy and not so friendly. Every morning we had to ask them for breakfast and received bad faces.

The staff do not know any english at all - and they did not even try to help us with questions. They just watched the soap operas all day and checked their mobiles - not welcoming at all! The hostel really has a great view from the roof terrace and it has a very nice location with walking distance to...
