Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Casa Beltran is close to the main Arica sights & it is a good base if you are coming & going from the city on tours to other parts of Northern Chile. The staff are really helpful, the rooms pleasant & the breakfasts superb. The little café by reception is useful for a quick coffee too!

Went there from Montreal, stayed for a week to visit the north of Chile. Had a great stay, didn't expect this kind of attention and service. It's a boutique styled establishment in the heart of Arica. Fantastic breakfasts are included. Very close to main points of interest in the city.

Very nice, and very well located hotel. Breakfast is amazingly good. Room was clean and serviceable - if a little small. We arrived 6.30 am and while the reception staff could not speak English - all the information we needed was ready and available for us, and with google translator on hand at reception, it all worked without a problem. The hotel restaurant is fantastic; one of the best meals of our trip (again we muddled through without much common language); it is just a pity to be in such a great place with very few other guests (not great for the ambience). Our room overlooked the internal courtyard/restaurant and was noisy with people talking below; could potentially be a real problem if there are lots of guests.

We have stayed in many small boutique hotels around the world and a few of them stand out for all the right reasons. Casa Beltran is among the best.
The charming owner Daniela (who speaks perfect English) and her staff went the extra mile to make our four night stay a memorable one. The hotel is situated in a quiet street just one block from the pedestrianised main shopping street and very close to the main plaza and seafront.
Modern, bright and tastefully furnished, the bedrooms are spacious and very comfortable with good wifi. Breakfast served in the lovely dining room far exceeds the usual S American offerings. At the time of writing, Daniela is moving her "T T" restaurant from the main street to the hotel and lunch and dinner will be available to hotel guests. Her faithful clientel are following her to the new venue which is the only recommendation needed for the food and service.
We have no hesitation in recommending this delightful hotel where you will be made very welcome, enjoy personal attention from the owner and enjoy a comfortable stay.

I had a blast in this hotel!

I stayed here for 4 nights with my wife and we had an awesome time. The room was super clean, the location is very convenient and the owner of the Hotel was there to help us all the questions/doubts that we had about Arica and its excursions.

Great accomodation in the heart of Arica: comfortable, clean and relaxing. The same owners as the most popular restraunt in town (T&T) they put the same care and thought into their hotel experience as the wonderful meals they prepare.

Around the corner from the Gustav Eiffel church and very active plaza. Great place for under $100USD in October, IF you remember to save your PDI receipt given to you at immigration. Otherwise you pay 19% VAT charged non recent visitors and residents. Desk helpful. We found far more to do in and around Arica than we expected. Great breakfast buffet with made to order eggs allowed us to skip or delay lunch. Clean polished wood. Spent 3 nights in the hotel.
Down side: No elevator, though not a problem for us.
Sound from events in the plaza may require earplugs if you retire early, and no one should travel without earplugs.

Then again I went to Arica because my job needed me to do. So I stayed at Casa Beltran which was -till then- the best Hotel Boutique in town.
The truth is the rooms are great, with a lot of space and great beds in there, also the hotel`s restaurant AK UN -which deserves a special review because of the tremendous dishes they serve-, seriously is one of the high points.

Anyway, this time my stay wasn´t that great since I felt out at the hotel`s stairs and nobody assist me, there was nobody there to help me and give first aid to an injured person. It was a very bad accident and I totally believe that the stairs were wet and nobody at the hotel took the blame for that. A shame and so sad because of the disappoint.

So, my left foot suffered and the hotel didn`t mind at all.

I honestly think that this kind of details makes the very big difference when it comes to choose an excellent quality of service or an average one.

Room Tip: Stay away of the rooms with view to Sotomayor Street, too noisy.
