The hotel gives a good impression at first impression - it's fairly small and feels set apart from the chaos outside, and is a lovely setting for a few days as a base for exploring Angkor Wat. It's a little out of the centre of Siem Reap (on the Angkor side which is convenient as traffic is bad at rush...

We arrived on February 15th. The Place looks really nice, unfortunately we could not stay there. You should double check if you made your bookings with agoda.com, hotels.com - because they said, they didn't have Internet/Email working? We booked 3 months in advance and didn't get any notice. It meant an hour waiting for us, to get a transfer to...

Lovely hotel, really felt like a grand Khymer house with beautiful antiques and polished wood stairs. The pool is a lovely feature with spouting elephant fountains- but be aware the sun loungers are in hot demand at mid day when you need a break from temples!. The staff are lovely- attentive without being pushy . The laundry service was exceptional-...

This hotel is a lovely little retreat in a busy city. After a busy day touring the temples it was lovely to come back to this great hotel and be greeted by the lovely and welcoming staff! It also has to pool to relax by which was very much needed after the early morning tour of Angkor Wat! Would definitely...

I could not fault this place. Beautiful rooms, excellent service, fantastic Khmer food, great location. While we stayed there we also did a cooking course with the hotel's chef, which was also excellent. I highly recommend this boutique hotel to anyone.

There are so many good things one can write about this place, but tempered with mild reservations. As one enters, there is a beautiful little pool to the left, and an inviting restaurant to the right. The reception area exudes charm and quality, and the reception staff are delightful. Our room was more than adequate, though quite dark due to...

We were so impressed with the lunch at the Hotel's restaurant, Reahoo, that we asked to tour the hotel. We had an excellent lunch at Reahoo - delicious food and gracious service. The HanumanAlaya Boutique Residence was super nice - beautiful common areas, gorgeous pool, upscale rooms, and refined service. The hotel's location is excellent - across the street from...

Small boutique hotel on the edge of Siem Reap. A charming hotel with delightful staff. The room was spacious and the bathroom luxurious. The small swimming pool was perfect for cooling off after a day at the temples. The restaurant was excellent, so much so that we ate there every night. Breakfast was good with a wide selection. Probably the...

We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of a trip and loved it. The hotel has real charm and is full of character. The rooms are decorated in wood and silks and are such a change from bland corporate hotel rooms. The small pool is lovely with sun beds dotted around and a pleasant place to cool off...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Prepare for divine inspiration! The temples of Angkor, capital of Cambodia's ancient Khmer empire, are the perfect fusion of creative ambition and spiritual devotion. HanumanAlaya, Angkor's very own boutique residence, is just a short distance away from these magnificent temple monuments and is the perfect blend of traditional Khmer design and sophisticated international amenities. Many guests love our idyllic retreat. Our guest book is a eulogy to hospitality: a 'wonderful place', 'excellent service', a 'perfect retreat'. 'Paradise'. Lovingly finished in wood and elegantly decorated in local antiques and handicrafts, the HanumanAlaya is a home more than a hotel and guests find it the perfect place to unwind after an adventurous day exploring Angkor Wat and the many other temples. Surrounded by lush gardens, a swimming pool, tropical plants, and a soothing Spa, it is an idyllic retreat from the bustle of Siem Reap beyond, a stay to be savoured rather than rushed. Angkor is a magical experience, one that will stay with visitors forever. Make it more memorable at HanumanAlaya by immersing yourself in our rooms with a personal touch. We are delighted to invite you to visit our sister property, HanumanAlaya Villa, located just 5mn walk from the main hotel. ... more   less
