Staffs are very friendly and helpful during i stay there. Rooms are clean and sanitary , and more particularly the decoration of the room is very good. It's near lake and pub-street. The price is very cheap and suitable but breakfast is not good, only bread and eggs.

When i checked in there were things that gave me a negative impression. The lady (receptionist) just looked me and didn't said anything, im carrying a lot of things and standing at the counter while she's sitting at the couch with her attention only on her phone. I thought she's going to approach me but she didnt and i call...

Things started when we booked a twin bed room for the stay in Siem Reap for 5 ppl, in Phnom Penh. Then when we reached Siem Reap, the staff dennied and asked us to move to triple bed room, we had no choice, and the price was high. No hangers, no towels, no English-speaking staff. That was a terrible experience.

Stopped here for 2 nights. The place was quiet which was lovely as we've been stopping in some very noises places. Staff where ok. Rooms are ok, they have a fridge and kettle. Only thing that let them down was that we did not get fresh towels the next day or toilet roll which they said they would do on...

We originally booked into another hotel not too far away which was charging $15 per night, but once we saw their rooms (walls stained, stinking of smoke, no a/c) we decided to hunt for better accommodation. Most nice places were either full or cost $25 minimum. Then we stumbled across Golden Bayon. They were manned by a cheery team of...

We stayed in the Golden Bayon Guesthouse over Chinese New Year, and when we arrived (having booked via hostelbookers.com) there wasn't actually a room available for us. The lady who runs the guesthouse had found us a room over the road for 1 night and then we were moved back to the Golden Bayon for the remaining 2 nights of...

After using the Golden Bayon bus serivce from Phnom Pehn we decided to stay the night at their guesthouse. We ended up staying three nights in two different rooms. The first was given to us at a discount because the lights weren't working. This was not a problem at all, as the bathroom light still worked, and the room was...

We stayed here for one night before getting a bus to Phnom Penh. It's a nice little guesthouse, room was spacious, tv, fridge an en suite. Staff were always smiling and happy to answer any questions! No complaints really! May wish to note: this is on the other side of the river to all the 'action' - not a problem...

We spent four nights in the Golden Bayon. The room was clean (but was not cleaned during our stay), but not the one we booked. Asking for the missing (and advertized) balcony the only reaction we got was: "What is a balcony, sir?". We liked the idea to serve breakfast from 7am only although the sites of Angkor open at...

This is the first place I have stayed that has no mosquitos or bedbugs --> first good sleep in the 2 weeks I've been in Cambodia! Internet is ok here, but seems to be problematic throughout Siem Reap. It is enough to allow me to do my work. Not sure what the speed is. Perks of my room are heated...
