Succumb to the power of the staff. They know what is best. Pay for included breakfast and guts yourself. Go Angkor at 4:30 am as ordered by staff. One Singapore sling and one beer is all you can afford. The barbecue and dancing worth the cost but again, alcoholic drinks may cause discord and expense. Seek out Sok whose English... More

When I last raided my bank account and stayed at the Grand Hotel d’Angkor (‘Raffles’) – July 2014 – I waxed lyrical on Trip Advisor about its comfort and facilities. I also waxed about the service, but somewhat stickily. Not that it wasn’t good; it was too good; too overbearing; too attentive; in other words - TOO MUCH. The Executive... More

This really is a grand old hotel in the British tradition. Our room was very comfortable, with separate bath and shower, closet space, mini-bar and view of the pool area. The service was excellent at both restaurants and bars. The breakfast buffet included champagne, and we ate at the hotel once at each restaurant; the more formal one was a... More

Our visit to Siem Ream wouldn't have been as wonderful is we hadn't stayed in the Raffles Hotel. The staff is super attentive, the housekeeping service was excellent, the breakfast was delicious, the smell of the whole hotel is wonderful. We ate in the lobby restaurant a couple of times and it was wonderful, we particularly liked the tapas.

I stayed here after spending a week at the Raffles Hotel in Phnom Penh, both properties are fantastic and each has a rich history. The staff could not have been more accommodating and they were great about arranging private excursions. Also highly recommend grabbing at drink at the Elephant Bar in both locations.

The Raffles Grand Hotel Angkor proves a wonderful haven amidst a bustling city as is Sieam Reap. Staff are more than helpful, and rooms are large, airy and wonderfully decorated. The pool is one of the biggest in Cambodia, and relaxation is easily achieved there. We visited Angkor Wat and Angkor Tom and several other temples and were always happy... More

This would have been a fantastic five star hotel, but while I was here the staff for maintaining the rooms did not seem up to par. We had difficulty getting extra toilet paper for example. We left for morning excursion and returned to the breakfast room service plates and table still just as we had left it. Beautiful and maintained... More

This is a five star hotel and the price reflects that. I found the staff excellent in every way from check in to check out which made the stay very pleasant. We spent a quick 2 nights in Siem Reap, the hotel has a colonial feel as it was used by the French during the colonial occupation. As such it is one of the hotels with a little more history and makes you feel like you have stepped back in time, in comparison to the many newly built hotels. The staff... More

We stayed for only one night but everything was perfect for that short stay. The whole experience was very elegant and we were made to feel like royalty from the moment we walked in the door. Set across from the Royal Palace, is one of the landmark historic hotels of the legendary Grand Tour of Indochina. Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor first opened its doors in 1932 but the legend lives on today after careful restoration. The hotel is rich in Cambodia history and full of original treasures, right down to the original working cage elevator in the lobby. Our doorman still welcomes everyone in a uniform inspired by the Royal Palace With the privilege of over 15 acres of beautifully landscaped French gardens and built around the country’s largest swimming pool, the hotel is a peaceful oasis to which to retreat after exploring the temples in the UNESCO World Heritage site only 10 minutes from the hotel. Stroll along the river to the vibrant markets and wonderful array of dining options. In addition to beautifully restored guest rooms you can choose from one of the luxury suites, including our most popular Cabana Suites with direct access from the balcony to the garden and pool. Food gourmets will delight with a variety of options including the popular Raffles Afternoon Tea and the Apsara Terrace, Siem Reap’s best cultural dance performance and dinner in the poolside gardens.
