We were sucked in by the sign for a lemongrass mojito and the set menu (2 courses + fruit for $5.75 each). They have a rooftop terrace with perhaps 6 or 8 tables in addition to their ground level seating. The service was great but unfortunately the food was average. Our entrees (pomelo salad and papaya salad) both had seafood...

I cannot believe that this restaurant has not had a review for dinner. We finally found the place after our tuk tuk driver was unsure, but my husband felt he knew where it was located and was correct! The meal we had was absolutely delicious and cheap! $14.50 for two entrees, two main courses a large beer and a complimentary...

We didn't stay at The Purple Mangosteen, but did enjoy lunch here. We found them when wandering around shopping and we're really glad we decided to stop. We had a wonderful green mango salad with shrimp and smoked fish and rice paper rolls. Everything was fresh, delicious and the flavours were perfectly balanced. A really delicious light lunch with wonderful...

Rooms were spotless with rocking good wifi. Bathrooms clean with great water pressure for the shower. Take an upper floor if you can as there is a late-night bar across the street that can be a bit noisy from time to time. Lots of places within easy walking distance. I booked in for three nights and ended up staying seven....

This place was great. From the staff, to the decor, the cleanliness and cost were all on point. (Although I was disapointed that the listing said breakfast was included which it was not). The one downside for us was that the location was so close to the action that it got kinda noisy pretty late. Then there were renovations to...

This charming, tiny hotel was a great find in Trip Advisor. Pros: - Phally, the nice owner, replied very promptly to our email re: booking. After confirming the trip, she would email a voucher which you can present at check-in - The staff are all smiles and will cater to your concerns to the best of their ability. We requested...

After visited Angkor Wat, I came back the hotel when the people in the hotel were having lunch. The way they eat looks like Filipinos, they also use plates and also eat by hands. The people there are very friendly, specially the owner of the hotel – Phally. I couldn’t recognize that she’s the boss if no one tells me....

We walked past the Purple Mangosteen several times during our stay in Siem Reap and decided to call in for a drink. Very central location set off a main road in the Alley. The hotel opened in Dec 2011 after a complete refit and renovation. Very contemporary having just a few rooms and a nice bar. The staff we spoke...

We stay here often when visiting Siem Reap, and consequently I feel a bit reluctant to divulge this hidden gem. As there are only a few rooms, I hope there will be room at the inn during our subsequent visits! Extremely centrally located, although it you are a light sleeper you may hear the music from a block away on...
