Classic, old French colonial style villas set amongst cool, shady, gardens. A lush, quiet oasis within walking distance (a few minutes) to the centre of town. A large salt water pool completes the picture after hitting the hot, gritty streets of Siem Reap. Staff are very attentive, with breakfast being served poolside under cool, shady trees. In the evenings the... More

The Sonalong Boutique Village has wide beautiful tropical garden which the owner and staff take care everyday. They have only 16 rooms, 8 two stories villa, and road in flont of hotel is not busy, so it's so quiet. (Traffic of 7 Makara street and Wat Bo street are always heavy and dusty in daytime) All balcony faces to the... More

Best way to arrive in Cambodia: Not an air-conditioned taxi but a vibrant tuk-tuk takes you to the hotel – an exciting kind of airport transfer. Hotel is off the rumble-jumble of Siem Reap but close to down town and to restaurants in Wat Bo area. I enjoyed very much staying with Sonalong and seeing your very attentive and friendly... More

This was my third visit to Sonalong village. It is a small and simple hotel with lovely gardens and a nice pool but the thing that brings me back are the beautiful staff. They make your stay memorable and go out of their way to help with any travel plans or whatever else you need. I cant speak highly enough of... More

I stayed for five nights. I would highly recommend this quaint hotel. It is away from the city bustle. Staff were friendly and helpful at every turn to make the visit one to remember. Breakfast was adequate. Restaurant was fine. Room was clean and very comfortable. The tuk-tuk drivers were also friendly and very informative about the temples and Siem... More

Spent 7 days in Siam Reap and have enjoyed every moment of this... after a long day of temple tripping it's always good to head back to Sonalong to the welcoming pool, great service and a quirky owner who will regale you all day with his rags to riches stories which is fascinating to say the least... the breakfast is... From the moment we arrived we felt like we were guests at the owner's home. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Mr Hak, the owner, arranged several tours and transfers for us at reasonable prices and with great local guides who taught us a lot about Cambodia. The food was delicious, service impeccable, and the pool and garden a... More

What a fantastic stay. I stayed here with my two sisters for 6 nights. Mr Hak greeted us as if we were part of his family and his staff were all very attentive throughout the duration of our stay. We had two connecting rooms. The pool area and gardens are lush - a welcome retreat from the heat. Mr Hak... More

It's set among a lot of trees and plants, but with no mosquitoes. The room buildings are separated by a few feet and are two stories, so it is very quiet. The pool is big and clean with loungers and pads and towels. The dining room is open and covered, food is very good and cheap. I had the chicken... More
