Enjoy your stay in Siem Reap!
Staff very welcoming when we arrived and helped with information and booking trips. Rooms clean and comfortable. Enjoyed our stay immensely, and made even better by the hotel staff and manager who all took the time to talk with us, answer our questions and tell us about Siem Reap. Menu was small but the food was lovely and homecooked, better food there than the restaurants in town. Swimming pool was clean and great for a swim in the evening when we returned. Would stay at this hotel again if we returned to Siem Reap and would not hesitate to recommend based on our experience.
Don't believe what you see in the pictures or their description of the hotel none of which us true, suite nothing like their photo, no room service, no restaurant no bar not even able to get a bottle of water, had to go to the local supermarket for all refreshments and ate out . That was until 19 days into the stay a group of Germans booked in and all of a sudden a evening menu appeared and a bar was opened. Went down for breakfast, no place for me to sit told to go upstairs, felt like a naught child, i waited 40 mins for my breakfast, when it did arrive no time to eat it, dirty plates where still in my room 2 days later. Had enough of the bad service and checked out early. I was originally booked in for a month as I was doing voluntary work in Siem Reap and it was convienent to where I was volunteering. One good thing I will say is that the staff are helpful especially It (probably not the correct spelli g) but he was a star, their English was good much better them my feeble attempt at Kmef…
If you want an inexpensive hotel with a good breakfast and tour options, this place is great. The rooms, on the other hand, are not optimal (although the Air conditioner was nice). Other rooms may have been better, but our request for 2 beds got us a regular bed and a cot...neither was comfortable. The bathroom light flickered like a disco the whole time it was turned on, despite our request to have it looked at. There are several dogs in the alley that bark at 4:06 AM on the dot each morning. The safe was also broken and the bath towels all had stains from years of use.
Not much good to say about this place unfortunately. Clean and comfortable, great shower but that's about it. Staff - not very good English. Asked for a take out breakfast to make an early start on temples. Both times we were assured it would be waiting in reception for us. Both times it wasn't. They did make us one though when we got back. A little way out of town a 2 dollar tuk tuk ride into town.
I stayed two days here on my way from Thailand to Vietnam. It's a really nice familiarity hotel, not too big. I got very good help from the staff for arranging my trip to Angkor Wat and the onward (mini-bus) journey to Phnom Penh. The hotel is slightly outside the city center and the rooms a little noisy. I was disturbed by dogs and traffic.
