This structure is present in the same complex as the Chobe Safari Lodge with which it shares all services, restaurants, bars, trips, etc., so the only difference is the rooms. I perceived this structure to be a little old and in need of modernization. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable where however the furniture, doors, fixtures and these things were a bit old and worn, nothing that affected the comfort but it gave the impression of being old. They are also very quiet and clean (this is the important thing), they have a very large shelf where you can open 2 suitcases and a large bathroom. I didn't like the fact that the bathroom wasn't divided from the room but instead there was only a curtain to divide it, which was a bit inconvenient and if you turned on a light in the bathroom the whole room would be lit up and you risk waking up the bathroom. partner. As for the restaurants, you can freely choose where to eat between the restaurants of the two structures. Lunch is a la carte in both restaurants while dinner is a la carte at the bush lodge while it is buffet style at the safari lodge. We liked the a la carte meals a lot while the buffet one less so, I found the dishes all cold, a little dry and stringy. Breakfast offers a not too varied buffet and you can choose a hot dish from the menu to be prepared on the spot. What I absolutely didn't like is that for example a cappuccino you have to pay for separately and it's not included. I also didn't like the fact that, by going on a game drive at five in the morning and therefore being forced to have breakfast on the way back, as it was close to the closing time for breakfast, the buffet was half empty and not replenished. Absolutely unacceptable! As for the services, they were included in our package and we took part in two boat cruises on the Chobe river and two game drives. The boat trips were very nice (even if they were a bit of a copy of each other, we would have preferred them to offer us another different activity) and we were able to spot lots of elephants, hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes and many other animals . The car safaris on the other hand were also very beautiful as we managed to see a leopard with a cub, various lions and many other animals. What I liked least was that the cars used were very old and not very comfortable and then they didn't organize the groups in such a way as to be able to do the two safaris with the same guide. This led us to waste a little time because the two guides wasted time giving us the same introduction twice, they explained life and habits of animals in the same way and for better or worse they took us along the same route while if had we had the same guide, we would have been able to make better use of the time available and he could have taken us to other areas so we could perhaps even spot different animals and see different landscapes. So all in all we had a good time here even if the structure needs some renovation both in terms of structure and services. It's a great area to get a taste of Chobe Park and then return if you like it.

I stayed at Chobe Bush Lodge as the second stop on my trip to Zimbabwe/Botswana. I arrived on June 11th at lunchtime. The river boat tour was departing, and after requesting a sandwich to take with me, I joined the tour. The next day, I went on two game drives, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. I must say that of the four stages of my journey, which also included the Okavango Delta, this was the stage that allowed me to capture the best photographs of animals, both from the river and from land. If your main goal is to get close to the animals, this is the right place. However, if your desire is to isolate yourself from the world and visit a remote region without tourists, the Delta is preferable. At Chobe, you will encounter many tourists. During the boat trip, we saw water buffaloes, crocodiles, elephants, hippos, and a variety of birds up close. The two game drives were exceptional, with sightings of lions, impalas, baboons, warthogs, vultures, zebras, and giraffes. It was beautiful. The lodge is quite large, with a central area housing the reception, restaurant, and swimming pool. The restaurant is excellent, with very friendly waiters and delicious food. They even offer crocodile meat for those interested. The rooms are like those in a hotel—constructed of masonry (not tents), with heat pumps, very spacious, and equipped with all comforts. Compared to a tented camp, the feeling of being in nature is missing, but since it is cold at night in June (+6°C), the heat pump helps maintain a comfortable temperature. The room is equipped with a combination safe large enough to hold a laptop and a Nikon camera. Don't leave the window open because baboons climb up at night and come to sleep on the balconies to avoid predators. You will find them there at dawn. One important thing to note is that the morning game drive leaves at 6:00 am. In June, at that time, the temperature is +6°C and it is still dark. You will travel about 20 minutes on an asphalt road at around 40/60 km/h to reach the desired point. The vehicle is uncovered, so it is absolutely essential to dress warmly: winter trekking trousers, a winter fleece, a winter windbreaker with a hood, and a balaclava. Before dawn, the cold is intense, but it warms up quickly after sunrise. In the afternoon, it can be +26°C, so you can dress lightly, but remember that you will return from the game drive after sunset when the temperature drops quickly. Therefore, it is necessary to bring your winter windbreaker. I attach photos of the room and the animals we saw.

We stayed here on a Riviera Tour instead of the Safari Lodge, rooms were spacious & just as you'd expect with beautiful mosi nets around the bed, not great views from our room but occasionally the resident wart hog family walked by.
I must compliment the restaurant food from al la carte with local wild dishes like Kudu (like a steak) so tender & Crocodile tail or their buffet plus we also had Christmas pudding & sticky toffee pudding, delicious.
There is a small shop by the reception area but there is a big souvenir shop down by the entrance gate which no one seem to know about.
It was a great stay here & there is a very good though not easy to find cocktail bar down by the waters edge, you definitely need insect repellent spray but I was still bitten a lot.

We stayed here for 1 night during a 9 day safari. Our rooms had a patio and were on the ground floor overlooking a grassy area in the back that was frequented by impalas. There were also 3 warthogs that like to hang out there. We ate at the restaurant and the game filet was amazing. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were very nice and spacious.

Chobe Bush Lodge is a great location for guided wildlife drives and river boat trips. Our driver was excellent - friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. We never expected that we would see so many elephants!

An amazing place to experience Chobe from both land and water! The people are so welcoming and really care about providing their guests with a top quality experience. From our hostess to each of the guides and the sharing of their knowledge of the animals and the land was incredible! An experience of a lifetime!!

Chobe Bush Lodge is the perfect location to start on Safari. The proximity to the river and the animals was amazing. It was wonderful to see the animal community--when you can look out over an expanse and see elephants, giraffe, hippos, birds, antelope, etc. Every drive we saw/experienced something new. We appreciated how the guides would keep one another informed to allow the maximum number of people to view the wildlife. The food and drink at the restaurant were excellent and much appreciated after all day game drive or cruise. We hope to return some day but would absolutely recommend this to anyone traveling to Africa on Safari.

We had an amazing few nights at Chobe Bush Lodge. I highly recommend both the morning and afternoon safari drives as well as the boat tour. So many animals to be seen - lions, leopards, elephants, antelopes, baboons, etc. Food was delicious - you can eat at the more casual buffet near the river, or more formally in the restaurant. Very short walk to a local bank and grocery store. We also took a local village tour, which was informative (bring sweets for the kids and money for the wares for sale). Rooms were very comfortable.

Chobe Bush Lodge is a well appointed, clean and quiet lodge to stay in. Our room was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. You can sit in the room of on the veranda and watch wild animals walking past and feeding. The restaurant at Chobe Bush Lodge was excellent. Good variety of food and wines. Breakfast and lunch is served at the Chobe Safari Lodge which is next door/100 metres walk. Good variety. The staff in the Activity Centre were sensational. They arranged sunrise, sunset and river safaris. I've never seen so many animals!!! I would certainly stay there again.

A good position but need to be relatively fit to walk up from the safari lodge as fairly steep slope and lots of stairs up to rooms.Rooms good but had a problem with showers.VERY hot water and very difficult to get a usable temperature. Buffet breakfast good, buffet lunch disappointing. Restaurant in Bush lodge was al a cart and very good. Both pools were a good place to cool off. Lunch snacks service was very slow. Game rides were good with guides communicating between each other over what routes had been taken on earlier rides. Every effort was made to see a good selection of game. The evening cruise was very good with free snacks and a paid bar with a good selection of drinks.

I had same issue, and the bank in Australia wouldn’t recognise their details and transfer the money. I had to book through a tour company that could send me the secure link.
There are more places to choose from in the Kasane area.
