Centrally located, close to supermarkets, and overlooking the river, with its own pier, beautiful at sunset. 850 BWP. Bars with thatched roof, very cosy atmosphere. Very nice room, but a little bit expensive. Great breakfast, including homemade cakes. friendly staff, but a little clumsy and slow to serve the dinner. They did a mess with my final bill (always better...

What a lovely feeling this place has! From the lovely paths and gardens leading to each room, to the lovely staff, the open but cozy lounge, dining area, to the open vista on the beautiful Chobe River, especially beautiful at sunset or with approaching thunderstorms. The breakfasts were delicious--even when the soul-drenching rains started, I found my room (and outside...

We stayed for 4 nights. Comfortable rooms in a refreshing, friendly, pleasant hotel. Lots of interesting corners. Warthogs, bushbuck and mongoose wandering around. Wi-fi poor everywhere except for outside the office - but it's good to be able to avoid incessant emails! Within easy walking distance of everything in Kasane. The hotel can organise boat trips into Chobe or game...

The old house isnt old, the name refers to some recyled bricks in the footings. we arrived in the rain which meant the foliage around the buildings rather than providing shade meant there was water everywhere. the office is a full curio shop, have to leave packs outside. the rooms likewise have knick knacks through out they are smallish with...

Loved The Old House, it has a very warm, homely feel, the staff are so friendly and nothing is too much to ask. It is a unique old house, each room is different, we stayed in the attic which was huge and really comfy including sofa and sloped roof. Sunset on the river is beautiful. The restaurant has a great...

I really enjoyed my stay at the Old House in Kasane and can highly recommend it to any travelers! Even before I arrived, the staff turned out to be extremely friendly and helpful – they were very reactive to my e-mails and helped me answer all my questions. Also, once I was there, they were very helpful organizing tours to...

We stayed at the Old House for one night during a 2.5 week trip through South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia. We were disappointed with our stay and were glad we only booked one night. The room, called the "loft", was a converted attic with low, claustrophobic ceilings, very little window space, and rubber black floors. The pillow cases were...

I spent a few nights before and after my trip in the Okavango. Great staff, very professional and friendly. the game drive and sunset river cruise are organised from there with again very professional guides. Ideal for solo, couple or family who want to avoid the big crowd of tourists. The restaurant is super nice and the food is very...

We stayed at The Old House for 4 nights in September, 2016. We found it be quite satisfactory given that it is a much lower price option than many of the lodges nearby on the river. An advantage of staying at a smaller place than the big lodges is that there are fewer people on the boat and jeep excursions...
