A little bit dated but nice inside even if the outside is grim. Reception staff were attentive and spoke English. There is a cafe and an ATM in the lobby. The rooms are adequate, clean as were the bathrooms. There is a good restaurant. Breakfast service was good. I stayed in a single room but I believe that the suites are very good. Very good value for money!
This hotel is certainly one of the better places in Belarus. Not super fancy for western standards, but decent, welcoming and overall a good place to spend the night. In summer it's probably fully booked but in April I was the only guest (judging by the fact that the receptionist immediately knew my name on arrival). Room was good, location was pretty good too (just a 5 min walk from the centre). Staff was super helpful and friendly. I overheard some junior staff practicing their English with the manager. Breakfast was a great experience. I had to go downstairs to get a ticket, which was a form specially written out for me with a stamp on it. Then I had to go 1 floor up and give it to the guys who was waiting in the breakfast room. Yet I was the only guest there so this procedure was a huge administrative overkill. Anyway, more than enough yummy things to choose from at the (=my) breakfast buffet. Again, people were super friendly and helpful. I'd definitely stay here again next time I'm in Brest.…
This hotel is is a charming Soviet pension. It has everything you want and the staff are polite and helpful, using google translate. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. It's perfectly located. The lobby has great cappuccino. The place has atmosphere. Welcome to the 1980's.
The staff is pleasant and nice. they try their best the rooms are stuffy and old.. from soviet times. except the renovated rooms.. so if you want something a bit more close to today's standard please ask for renovated rooms (which are also more expensvie.. around 60/80 usd)
The hotel is an excellent choice for travellers from outside Belarus. That is, most importantly, because in the staff several people communicate well in English. That is an exception in Belarus, where even the police and the people that sell tickets for internationally recognized tourist attractions do speak (Bela-)Russian only! The hotel outside looks like a Sovjet-bunker (pic) but that is of no importance to me. Inside (pic) there are comfortable rooms with good beds and the sound insulation is very good. Breakfast is included, and they made a lot of effort to arrange for gluten-free products (pic). If you have a car, major attractions like the ancient forest of Bielaviežskaja are within easy reach: just over one hour to drive. Attraction inside the city like Brest Fortress, the Railway museum and the main shopping streets are within walking distance. A perfect hotel for visitors from outside Belarus (and other).…
