We spent a week up in Clear Lake. If you love camping you're going to love Clear Lake. The sites are well laid out & very spacious. The bathroom & showers are clean & well maintained. Note: the bathrooms/showers are closed from 2:30 - 4:00 each day for cleaning. There is a boat launch & a nice dock for fishing....

That may seem obvious but there is not much less than 30 min away from here. With that said, we have loved our week here. All sites are near to water and facilities. Beach never over crowded (tho I heard July is busy). Everyone has been helpful and friendly. Water clear. Kids used goggles to view fish. Great for days...

lots are small and we were lucky to have three sites together. Based on the size of lot and our unit we would not have been able to have a fire because lack of space. Bathrooms were not cleaned properly yet they were closed for almost two hours for cleaning. handicap stall is a joke. the only thing making it...

Located off the beaten path so it isn't loud and noisy like Higgins Lake. The campsites are a little closer together than what I prefer but they are your standard Michigan State Park campsite. Lot of hiking trails and ORV trails with low bush tiny blueberries waiting to be picked. The lake itself is nice for kayaking or swimming

Clear Lake State Park has some trails for hiking. Found a nature trail with parking next to the campground. The trail is about one mile. Easy hiking through the woods. Not much wildlife. Trail cuts through organization camping site. Came to the road and followed back to the car. Lots of camping, fun for kids. Water is very clear. Separate...

Loved the state park. Very friendly and informative and a great price!! Everyone told me I had to worry about ticks but when I arrived there I didn't even have to worry about mosquitoes. The lake was just like the name CLEAR LAKE!! I have to say is probably one of the most beautiful lakes that I've ever swam or...

We just visited for the day and were impressed by the campsites. There are cabins available. Down in the campsite areas there are screened in cabins. (Don't know exact termalogy). Also lots of sites with hook ups. Lots of trails to hike clearly marked. Boat ramp area was closed off due to high water but a pretty site with picnic...

This campground appears to be a popular campground for children. Children of all ages were everywhere; swimming, boating, fishing, biking, and hiking you name it, they were there. The beautiful sandy beach is located in very close proximity to the picnic area and campground. The beach, which offers unsupervised swimming, is a great place for swimmers and sunbathers. The lake...

We love this State Park! Very clean and well maintained. The beach is spotless. Nice and sandy without a big drop off. Perfect for the younger kids. The lake is crystal clear, hence Clear Lake. Covered picnic area and nice, clean indoor bathrooms. One of the nicest parks in Northern Michigan.

One of our favorite state parks, the lake is like the carribean beautiful aqua blue.. Well shaded park nice sites and friendly service. With plenty of natural things to see within proximity. If your into geo-caching there are plenty of these hidden all around the area.

“About half way between Atlanta and the State Park is a roadside stand of wood. The $5 pile lasted us the whole weekend. And make sure to secure your food well. A squirrel got in the screen room of our tent and had a buffet with our bread and buns”
