Booked through Hotels.com 3 months before. Received email confirmation/reminder two days before but upon arrival at 2am were told that our booking for two nights had 'been overlooked by reservations' and they were full. After an hour they booked us into another hotel and said to contact in the morning to find out if the second night room was free....

The pictures are completely deceiving. From the outside and the reception area it looks like a hotel but wait until you take the elevator ride to your room. Once you open the door you will get a lovely aroma of mold & smoke combination. You won't have a choice to inhale this because the windows cannot open. You only have...

Wifi didn't work at all in our room. We had hoped room higher but we had room on the 2 floor two nights. They they changed our room to the 6 floor. Wifi was very slowly. Noise was terrible in night time. Swimming pool was not in use. Can't recommend this hotel.

The hotel is centrally located and beside Al Fahidi Metro Station. Everything is nearby. But the night club in ground and first floor is very crowded in night and a popular pick up place. Staffs are extremely well mannered. Foods are good.

Having read the reviews here before booking, I requested a room on a higher floor which may or may not have been the reason why I had such a pleasant stay. The ground floor is very busy at night as there is a club/pub there but it caused no inconvenience. The staff were generally friendly. The room was clean, spacious...

Staying in The Creek

Neighbourhood Profile
The Creek
The smell of frankincense hangs thick and heavy in the air, waves lap gently at jetties, and market traders call to passing tourists. The creek, originally the place where pearl boats docked and left on missions to uncover jewels from the deep, is where the city really began. The Al Fahidi District on the Creekside is one of the oldest heritage sites in Dubai, easily recognizable with its iconic wind towers, the original air conditioning. Home to the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding and the Dubai Museum, the old buildings also house a range of cafes, shops and art galleries. Often called “the real Dubai,” this is a wonderful place to lose yourself before catching an abra across the creek to the spice souk, where your senses will be overwhelmed with tastes, smells, and sounds.
