If you are looking for the stereotyped Dubai shiny-shiny branded image hotel, then the Arabian Courtyard is not for you. If you like a hotel with a bit of character, perhaps even verging on quirky, then this definitely the place to stay. I think it is important to remember that a hotel's star rating relates to the number and type...

This place is the worst place I have ever stayed ... we requested a cot upon check in and they said it's available and will be sent up.. 5-6 hours later still nothing ... we then got told it's not available and they could provide a sofa bed and to use cushions so the baby wouldn't roll off ... the...

Stayed in hotel for 5 nights. It is located In Bur Dubai, opposite Museum in Meena Bazaar area, close to everything. The rooms are spacious and neat. The staff is courteous and cooperative. There is limited option of food in breakfast for Indians. The surprising and shocking thing was that when I asked for a plate, I was told that...

Just love staying here. We have now stayed here 4 times and enjoyed every time. The location of this hotel is ideal for walking and shopping. Handy for the Creek and Museum. Room 508 was our room this time , excellent view. Staff members Bakshish, Edwin, and Grace + Zela in the bar were excellent once again. Keep up the...

Overall a pleasant stay. Check-in was very quick - although after a 12 hour flight, we were not given a welcoming drink which other guests recieved. The room was spacious and very clean. The view was of the Dubai Museum which was great. Breakfast was also clean and there was a variety of continental and Indian breakfast. There are also...

Had two days at this hotel at the end of a cruise, didn't look much from the outside, or from the photos, but what a find. Free upgrade to the executive rooms, amazing view over the town, central to the old town too. Fantastic breakfast-with no additional charge, definitely go back.

How can you beat a place that's across the street from the Dubai Museum in the heart of Creekside, with a bus stop outside the door and a Metro stop around the corner? The hotel itself is not particularly fancy or luxurious - in fact it may be a little scuffed in places - but it's clean and comfortable, with...

It is located at a great location. The staff were very friendly. The hospitality was top-notch. We stayed in executive room which was really great. Plus they had 3 complimentary drinks per person during happy hours in their executive lounge.

Staying in The Creek

Neighbourhood Profile
The Creek
The smell of frankincense hangs thick and heavy in the air, waves lap gently at jetties, and market traders call to passing tourists. The creek, originally the place where pearl boats docked and left on missions to uncover jewels from the deep, is where the city really began. The Al Fahidi District on the Creekside is one of the oldest heritage sites in Dubai, easily recognizable with its iconic wind towers, the original air conditioning. Home to the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding and the Dubai Museum, the old buildings also house a range of cafes, shops and art galleries. Often called “the real Dubai,” this is a wonderful place to lose yourself before catching an abra across the creek to the spice souk, where your senses will be overwhelmed with tastes, smells, and sounds.
