I always aim to stay in doubletree hotels, I like them a lot. The Doubletree in Al Barsha, great location, next to the mall of Emirates. Easy reach from the airport 20/25 mins in an Uber. Was around 120 DHS Check in was easy Staff got my bags from the taxi and up to my room Was offered a smoking room to check in there and then. Was told I couldn’t move if I didn’t like it. Bit negative I don’t smoke, but I needed sleep Very large room. Comfy bed Once the AC was on any smell of smoke clear but was in the corridor Pool was nice and heated but in the shade until end of February Shuttle service to the mall and beach is useful Easy to walk to the mall as well. Starbucks in the lobby was my go too I didn’t use the restaurant but did look at the food Slightly more choice than the Hampton i previously stayed in around the corner Would return to the hotel

We had the King deluxe room, loved it! It’s was really big, clean and very quiet so five stars for that. I think this hotel is pretty new the pool area was really nice we loved the buffet breakfast,( this is how all hotels should do their buffet breakfast) The staff was amazing (The morning we left it had rained that night and there was flooding on some of the roads so we couldn’t get a taxi to come to the hotel, so one of the staff members went out to the highway to flag one down for us, that’s going above and beyond The location is great to, it’s about a 15 minute walk to the Dubia mall And the Burj Khalifa is right there as well. There is some construction on the walk to the mall but it didn’t seem to be a problem.

Stayed at this property for about week. Room was spacious with nice view of Emirates mall. All the toiletries were there such as bath robes, shampoo conditioner shower gel and tooth brush. Breakfast was included in my room price and it was something we were excited to see every morning! Staff was super friendly and very helpful. They looked after us really well and all our needs throughout the stay.

1. Very late check out. We arrived at 4am in the morning, understanding that check in its only around 2pm. We got our rooms at 3:30pm with several excuses like “the previous guests were very dirty and room is getting twice cleaned”. Not real! For a reservation of 2 different rooms.
2. We did not have hot water in 2 different mornings of our 7-days stay. The “engineer” was supposed to be sent. Never appeared.
3. Our room got flooded after a heavy night rain through the window. The floor carpet and the bed lining absorbed all water. We informed the reception, however the beds were made with the humid covers. We had to asked again to change the bed lining. No communication whatsoever between the staff.
4. My hilton honors points have not been register after a week. Even though I have called twice to the hotel.
5. The room we got smells like cigarette. Smell during the mornings gets worst.
6. No proactivity of the staff. No communication between different departments within the hotel. They need to be told everything, otherwise not done.
I will not consider staying again in this hotel, considering the amount of different hotels in Dubai with better location and of course much better service. Hopefully this will help to improve.

I’ve stayed at Doubletree Al Barsha 3 times over recent months. It is a solid hotel, although showing its age a little. The hotel can though represent great value, with room rates often around 200 AED or lower.
The location, in Barsha, is close to the Mall of the Emirates and many other 3 and 4 star hotels and restaurants. It is not a particularly pleasant area for walking though, with minimal greenery, so you will most likely take taxis everywhere. The area is very dusty, due to some nearby construction and open plots of land.
I’ve stayed in both an apartment and a regular room. The rooms are well furnished with comfortable work desks and chairs, decent beds, and shower/tub combinations. On the last stay the room was a bit scuffed, with a stained light-shade and rather dirty looking net curtains. Housekeeping is adequate.
The breakfast team is very friendly and the breakfast offer has improved markedly over recent months. The orange juice is freshly squeezed and there is a good range of cold and hot items. The Sikh chef on the egg station is a star, he makes the perfect omelettes and poached eggs.
If you are looking for good value in this part of town, then Doubletree is a solid choice. Note however that the hotel does not have a bar or serve alcohol.

So I stayed here for around 2 months in an apartment. The hotel is really old.. facilities and apartments are in serious need for a refurbishment and maybe this is why it is relatively cheaper than other newer facilities in the same area.. If you are considering a studio or an apartment, some pointers: 1- As I said, old, every part of the apartments.. smells, looks and feels old.. 2- Kitchen in the apartment is awful and even the pots, spoons and pans are very limited and of low quality.. I had to go and buy many basic stuff
Now, hotel people if you are reading this, ready along.. You need to pay extreme attention to your housekeeping staff as the service standards seem very low.. whenever they cleaned, my wife had to go and clean after them.. One of the cupboards in the master room had dust inside since day one and despite housekeeping coming to clean, I used to open it each time after them, and dust was there... AND PLEASE put some shelves in the master room main cupboard for the gusts to put their clothes.. Note to Front desk manager, your team is providing a horrible service... they never answer the telephone and they are in need of serious training..
Conclusion: pay a bit more and stay in a decent place.

DO not consider his as HILTON standard, is very average you may find better at same price. The room and breakfast were very average, toilets were smelly because no ventilation. Breakfas were below average, you will find much better breakfas out with much less prices

Currently we are still staying as residents,the service is really poor in terms of cleanliness and response to the basic requirements. Firstly, the first apartment had bedbugs which is unbelievable for a hotel like this. They didn’t offer to change rooms or offer better solutions and we have to ask for that. Second,the weekly cleaning and garbage collection was always not on time,always needed to call for these scheduled services. If it wasn’t for we signed for the longer days,we will definitely not choose to come back to this hotel. It’s not recommended for long stay, choose wise.

Stayed for 4 nights on a vacation with my wife and 3 yr old son. The experience was amazing. Here are a few important factors: Location: Very well located hotel within walking distance of the Mall of Emirates. They provide complimentary pick up and drop to both Mall of Emirates and the Jumeirah Beach. You can take an RTA taxi anytime as 1-2 are always waiting outside the hotel. You can also take the metro to the Business Bay (Burj Khalifa area) from the Mall of Emirates station. The only drawback is that it is quite some distance from the airport which isn't a big deal if you are staying for a few days.
Staff & service: Amazing staff. Very well behaved and try to make you as comfortable as possible.
Room: As we had a 3 yr old we needed an apartment-hotel kind of format with a full kitchen. This was a big plus as the hotel room had a hob, chimney, washing machine & microwave and we were able to cook some meals.
Cleanliness & ambience: Very clean and well maintained hotel. The open elevators were a big hit with my little one! Modern decor and a very positive ambience
Breakfast: The breakfast was really good. So do go with the breakfast option. Huge spread with great service from the staff. The quality was also good.

This is my 3rd time staying in this Hote, the location is very convenient and the team never fail in making our stay extra special, from the front office and concierge once we have arrived they had accommodated us with our request to have early check-in and also helped us with our things to carry. Also a very GOOD JOB! To the F & B team who had served us the breakfast specially Rhose Anne and the chef who stands on the front (I was not able to get his name), they did a great job of making sure that our orders had been taken accordingly and the breakfast is served well. This hotel is highly recommended to stay with friends and family.

I just stayed in the one bedroom suite this week, and it has both a separate spacious walk-in shower, a separate bathtub and separate toilet. Ask for Room 1310, my favorite. Service and breakfast are outstanding, and they will always help. Great hotel, and I stay there often. Charity in Reservations and Jennifer in reception will help.
There are more places to choose from in the Dubai area.
