I don’t normally write on trip advisor but needed to give this hotel the credit it deserves.
I came the beginning of November with my husband and two friends, from the beginning of walking into the hotel we were offered cold towels and a drink, Check in was very quick,We had a deluxe sea view room which was amazing.
The staff what can I say nothing was too much trouble, they made us feel so welcome and that was all staff not just the odd one.
We were on half board with which you could use in the hotel or the sister hotel Grosvenor house hotel nearby.
I have visited many five star hotels around the world and have to say that the buffet breakfast and buffet evening meal was out of this world even the most picky eater would be hard pushed not to find anything they could not enjoy, the grounds and beach area are large and spotless.
A must to try is a the Friday brunch the food was first class and they also have a quality live band on ! you can choose to pay for an alcoholic package or a soft drink package I don’t drink alcohol so the soft drinks package was great that included great mocktails as well. Yes the drinks are very expensive at this hotel but most five star hotels in Dubai are . I enjoyed it so much I am going back with a friend at the end of January !
I don’t normally keep returning to the same hotel but can’t wait to enjoy another week in paradise and as I have not stopped going on about it to my friend she is excited too 😀😀😀

My husband and I stayed at the hotel for our Wedding Anniversary and don't regret it. The Location was walking distance for JBR walk, the tram and marina/marina mall. the beach and Garden were mins away with access to 3 pools.
Check was very efficient and the room was clean, would have preferred a sea view room but that was a extra cost, however the city view room was very spacious the only thing that was slightly annoying was the fact it was close to the lift so you could hear everyone that used it...…. We ate at Brasserie 2.0, Rhodes Twentty10, La Strega, Maya and Indya during our stay and were very impressed with the staff, quality and taste of food.
All staff from check in, security, room service, pool attendant's and restaurant staff were helpful, polite and very attentive.
Its a shame we travelled at a time where wearing a mask was the norm as its always nice to see a face and be able to recognise the smile, however the hotel was kept very sanitised, masks and gloves were provided and every surface was consistently cleaned and sanitised.
Would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying again soon. :-)

The parking attendants were great and made sure to cover my seats and steering wheel as a Covid precaution. My checkin was efficient and when I inquired about an upgrade, I was given the option to see my room and decide. After seeing the sea view from the room balcony, I decided to stick with my choice. I liked that there was plenty of water in the room (they even had some cookies as well). The drapes were true black-out drapes and I was well rested while staying at the hotel. The property was a beautiful oasis that seemed to spring from nowhere (I wouldn't have guessed it looked like that from the front of the building). The landscape offered numerous activities (camel rides, jet skis, ping pong, and more), greenery, bars, and beach lounges. There was even a swim-up bar (didn't get to try it but I will next time). There were a few restaurants besides brasserie that were on the property as well. The views of the city and sea were astounding. But the buffet breakfast is what topped it off. Since Covid started, buffets have disappeared and have been replaced with slimmed down a la carte menus. I was surprised to find that Meridien was offering buffet breakfast (one of the few that still does offer it). There were temperature checks, masks were enforced when going to each station and social distancing was in place. All the servers wore masks and the servers wore masks, gloves and faces shields as well. Everything was protected by glass and only servers had access to food/food items items. It was a great experience. The only thing I would have liked is a later check out. I hate feeling rushed on the last day to eat breakfast and pack. Hopefully next time it will be available. But it was a great stay and I will defibitely be adding it to the list for future stays.

Le Royal Meridien Dubai, the BEST staycation we have done so far (having done quite a few). We booked for 3 nights, extended for an additional 2 nights because we were blown away by the quality at every step of the way!!

The hotel has the best social distance and sanitation management system we have seen (they even have staff dedicated for this role), the choice of 5x A La Carte restaurants for dinner which are 5* covering many cuisines as part of half-board was a real highlight of the stay (Vineet Indian, Rhodes 21 steakhouse, Maya Mexican, La Strega Italian, Geales UK). Each of these restaurants have an equally amazing kids menu with selection to suite all tastes. Three swimming pools perfectly chilled serving refreshments and food throughout the day. Amazing breakfast each morning with a very organized comprehensive selection!!
The staff are all extremely helpful and friendly at every step of the way from concierge, to life guards, to waiters, to the room service staff!!

The staycation half-board price is the best value we have seen. We really appreciated the half-board on a la carte basis as compared to buffet but there is still a buffet available at Brasserie 2.0 if you wish!! 😁😁

PS: I've posted the menus for half board to give you a flavor of the amazing dinners to look forward to each night!

I must say from start to finish the hotel has been excellent. Bilal from the reservations Team was extremely helpful (highly recommend calling the hotel directly to get the best deal) and supportive.
The arrival experience is well managed and you can see the precautions being taken in terms of safety and hygiene as soon as you arrive.
There are sanitisation stations throughout the hotel equipped with masks(mandatory of course), sanitizer and gloves should you choose to wear them.
The room was spacious and looks brand new; the refurbished them a few years back but they are extremely well maintained and of the highest quality.
The 3 pools are all open and are excellent, very well spaced out and towels are individually wrapped for extra precaution.
The club lounge was also a treat and well worth it if it is not already included in the package you choose. Nice selection of food throughout the day and great service again, especially from Tina who was very pleasant and professional.
The best part I have to say was the Brasserie 2.0. Aside from being a wonderful space, expertly designed and with all the new safety features including glass guards across the buffet, temp checks at arrival etc. The service team were excellent and special thanks to Stanley for his care throughout, and also to Shalu. The food was of the highest quality, some of the best I have ever seen in a buffet restaurant and highly recommended both if you are staying in the hotel or even just for a dinner out.
Thank you again to the team and we look forward to returning soon!

We stayed in the club rooms, these have been renovated to a very high standard and the balconies are such an asset, I often went back to the room in an afternoon to read in the sunshine. The restaurants are exceptional, it was raining the night we went to Geales, food was fantastic and they took us back through the hotel after the meal to save us getting wet, very thoughtful. Italian was just as good. The club lounge was fantastic, canapés always plentiful and differ each night. The location of the hotel is brilliant, not far from the JBR walk and the marina and marina mall. Thank you all for such a brilliant stay and will definitely come back.

Loved the location, right on the beach with the city towering over it. We were happy with our room - brand new, nicely designed and quiet.

The negatives (1) it's the only hotel we've stayed in while in Dubai and around the world where people are allowed to put towels on loungers at the crack of dawn to hold them. I thought this was a thing in the 80's?! It's out of control. We got up early one morning to go for a walk and joined the droves of people heading to the beach to bag loungers and head off for the morning maybe in some cases until around midday. We had a view of a pool from our balcony and the same thing was happening there. Why aren't the beach and pool attendants removing the towels???

(2) I booked the hotel in my name but apparently my wife was only the "guest". They had her name from check in and her passport was taken and scanned from check in. Anytime she charged anything to the room and signed her name she was accused of charging food or drink to the wrong room. It was quite embarrassing. She was told one time to just sign her husbands name. I think that's quite unbelievable, not only is that forgery but it also means that anyone can go around signing peoples names on bills as long as they've the right name and room number. Another time she was told maybe bring me with her to sign. Not good enough in 2019 and not good enough for an international chain.

(3) on check in at 11:30pm after waiting for a good 10 minutes at check in we were asked if we'd like to pay for an upgrade. At that stage we were wondering if they had our booking at all because in that 10 minutes they were typing away on the computer, making calls and talking to each other. We did wonder what was going on. When we said no we were then told they'd give it to us complementary as they'd no room for us in the category we'd booked. Quite sneaky of them. It was the hotel who'd made the mistake and then they tried to make money out of us to cover themselves.

All these things just don't make it 5 star. Change those things and it would be a much better hotel.

Beautiful hotel and amazing staff. Had a great 2 day break in this hotel. Nothing was too much for the staff, they were all amazing and friendly. We booked a club room and got club access, which was very nice and again the service from the staff in there was brilliant. They are all very friendly and pleasant. Can’t say a bad word about this place. Got a great summer deal the price was very reasonable. All staff were very precautious wearing masks, visors and gloves at all times. Always sanitising and cleaning tables. Around the pool, the guys were also cleaning and sanitising the sun loungers and tables when people left. Towels were bagged also. There was plenty of masks and hand sanitiser everywhere around the hotel including the lifts and you get your temperature taken upon arrival and entry into any restaurant too. Our room was lovely and clean in fact the whole hotel was clean through and through. Yes I would go back tomorrow and yes I would recommend this hotel to friends and family. It’s in a great location and there’s a supermarket and chemist across from the hotel with some small restaurants and very close to JBR where there are lots of other hotels and bars, restaurants and fast food places.

We stayed here for one night for a mini summer break. We were so impressed we have booked for another stay. The staff and the service are exceptional. They are so friendly and welcoming and also professional.
On arrival there is thermal scanning and a very quick check in that includes a hygiene kit for your stay. Lots of markings for social distancing and in the lifts and across various touch points they have hand sanitizers. At the pool the beds are distanced and constantly being cleaned and even in the horrible heat the staff are all being safe and wearing gloves and masks.
The rooms are all recently updated, large beds, lots of space even in the entry level room type and big bathrooms and balconies.
The pool options are all huge and they are the perfect temperature to cool off in. The pool food is really good and a great drinks menu.
Breakfast was included and so well done! Lots of options, plastic screens so the food isn’t contaminated, chefs help to serve it for you and everyone wears the mask for walking around and just takes it off to eat.
Overall you feel so safe you can actually relax.
I’m looking forward to returning soon! :)

We were very impressed by the engagement of the management in the assistance provided with our bookings and requests and were kindly upgraded to a sea view tower room which was clean and comfortable. The view was beautiful. We were also offered airport transfers in their rather plush hotel transportation. The breakfast choices were limitless, however, we only used the lounge and room service, both were excellent (the lounge is perfectly comfortable but does feel more like a coffee shop than an exclusive lounge and this could perhaps be something that could be improved on, that being said, the staff there and indeed everywhere in the hotel were extremely courteous and friendly) our check in was handled swiftly and although we arrived early, we were given our room immediately, which was most welcome since we had just gotten off a long flight from London. We used the spa which was very well appointed, although the steam room was not working. The massage and also men’s barber were top notch. The feedback shared with the management was taken on board and we believe that our two observations (noise levels in the room and the possibly polyester bedsheets, will be addressed). All in all a top drawer resort. Highly recommended as a place to explore Dubai. We hope to return to our new home in Dubai with our family in the near future and look forward to the superb service. We also visited the pool and the beach which are both very clean. The gardens are well manicured and a welcome sight.
