This is not one of your monster-sized Dubai hotels. But it's big enough to have every amenity, while small enough for the friendly and well-trained staff to give caring, personal service. You are never lost in the Meridien. Attractive and comfortable rooms; a stylish terrace restaurant and bar; a lush and restful garden surrounding the pool; brilliant new fish restaurant...

The hotel forms a part of a complex along with Westin hotel, which means rather huge beach, a number of various restaurants to choose from, three pools for adults plus two separate pools for kids. Le Meridien also has a rather well done and organized kids club where one can leave kids (and my son loved it absolutely). And the...

This hotel is really a very beautiful hotel with a great location. The problem is the service for such a grand hotel is totally lacking. Normally U would expect a top 5 star service but unfortunately it was terrible. Points to state is the electronic keys failed and to get the rooms open one would have to walk about 500...

Because the Entertainer had vouchers for this place and because it is a 2mn walk from home, we decided to give it a try. Obviously having been in Dubai for a few years now we've tried numerous beach day passes but this is the worst!! The entire staff we interacted with, from the entrance, the beach to the restaurant were...

I booked this hotel through Booking.com for our 35th wedding anniversary having stayed in Dubai for our 25th and 30th and this was without doubt the best by a country mile. We opted for a club room with sea view and what a great choice this was, more expensive yes, but the benefits out weigh the extra cost. Included in...

There are a few ways in which you can get to the hotel. Either by taxi, uber or rail. We took the rail from the airport which took approx 1hr 30 mins. A taxi would have taken a lot less but due to storms there was a 2 hr wait for one. The rail is very cheap but it is...

We have just returned from a 10 day stay at the Meridien, travelling with our 3 young children (under 10 years old). I cannot rate our holiday highly enough. The hotel is 25 minutes drive from the airport, and shares the same site as the Westin hotel. There is no doubt that the Westin is grander, more opulent-looking and generally...

We booked onto the Club Package at the hotel which meant that we could use the club room facilities. This included a complimentary afternoon tea at 2:30 which was lovely and then a happy hour of complimentary cocktails. Fantastic deal.

I spent a day day here as part of a spa deal with Westin which included a private cabana by the beach. Initial impressions were good; the staff were helpful and laid the towels on the loungers and bed. However, this is where the service stopped. The waiting staff never once proactively came by to ask if I would like...

Staying in The Marina

Neighbourhood Profile
The Marina
It’s hard to believe that only a decade ago there was no marina. Opened in 2003, the man-made marina runs along a 3km stretch of shoreline. A heady mix of luxurious hotels, apartment buildings, and cafes, the marina hosts regular community events and markets, and is a wonderful place to while away an afternoon or evening. Spectacular at night when the skyscrapers glisten, here you can enjoy dinner on the beach next to the sea, or visit a high-rise bar in a hotel for a magnificent view across the Gulf and the man-made Palm Island, with the world-famous Atlantis Hotel at its end. The Walk at Jumeirah beach Residences is a pedestrianized stretch leading to a new development: The Beach. It’s one of the few places where Gulf nationals mix with tourists and Western ex-pats. It’s a popular place to show off your supercar for an evening, so watch out for Lamborghinis, Maseratis, and Ferraris in abundance.
