You can’t fail to miss Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It towers over the city and resides in the prestigious Downtown development. Once an old army base, Downtown is now the jewel in Dubai’s crown, a beautiful residential and leisure area housing not only the world’s tallest building, but the world’s largest fountains and mall. Wide marble sidewalks are perfect for strolling, with restaurants, art galleries and children’s play areas. Specially commissioned sculptures line the roads and Downtown is often used as a canvas for modern art displays and community events such as Classic Car Shows and National Day parades. In the cooler months, cross one of the many bridges to the Burj Khalifa park and enjoy a picnic alongside residents and visitors, or enjoy a lunch or dinner watch the dancing fountains. Because of its mixed use, Downtown is a fantastic place to mix with Dubai residents and locals and watch real life unfold in a cosmopolitan environment.

Ramada Downtown hotel, is the opposite of making sense. Let me tell you why. We stayed her for about 15 days, city view AKA construction view in 1 bedroom apartment. Ramada Downtown is the type of hotel apartment that will allow “guests” to to your room for “massage” but not

Hi, yes you can certainly walk from the hotel to the fountains and mall. Personally I preferred the fountains at night time but that’s down to personal choice. I have walked in Dubai freely and never felt threatened. I enjoyed my time in Dubai very much and the Ramada hotel was very nice as were the staff. I would recommend going up Burj Khalifa to appreciate it more. You can go up to 123 floors or 148 floors. I went up 148 floors as the sun was setting and it was amazing. I would also recommend booking online prior to visiting and queues can be long on days. Another place I would recommend since you have 2 young children, is global village. We had a lovely time over there and there’s also lots of restaurants to choose from. The beach is another option to consider. There are nice, clean, sandy beaches to chose from. I hope you have a wonderful break in Dubai like we did.

Hello. How old is your hotel? Thank you in advance
I'm not sure sorry. It isn't one of the very new ones but is very nicely decorated, fresh and modern. It is the location which is its best feature and the rooms with a view of the Burj Khalifa and fountain.

Do all the 2 king 2 bedrooms non smoking suites have view of burj and fountain? Or I have to upgrade?
Its best to reach out to the hotel prior to your arrival if you want to make sure you have the view that you desire. We were fortunate that upon check-in there was availability, the rooms with a view are sought after. I must say, its well worth it. We were on the 7th floor and we can see the entire fountain, day or night. Also the Burj is beautiful, almost every night after a long day of sight seeing, we would relax and look at the view, Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountains.

Booking com is very safe and you can easily book through them. Having said that booking directly through the hotel gives you the flexibility to changes/alter/cancel.
