It's in the center of the active part of the city, very convenient. However, the service is not up to the price, especially if you reserve indepently with no offer. On the other hand, it allows you good privacy and tolerance, to some extent.

After travelling for a fortnight in Syria, I can vouch that this was the best hotel we stayed in. We hadn't booked, we ended up here because our arranged hotel couldn't accommodate us due to a volcanic-ash-disrupted itinerary. No problem here, there were rooms available without a quibble. Also the hotel would have charged $230 for two rooms, but they...

The room was one of the smallest I can recall. Overall OK, except that it was quite warm outside and the AC system wasn't turned on. Not sure what Syrians' threshhold for turning on those systems is, but what little air I got from the open windows didn't help until late at night. The location was good, about 4 blocks...

Our tour group stayed here; the hotel needs sprucing up; there was only one power point available, in the bathroom, there is little nearby to enjoy, but luckily the hotel has an excellent top floor restaurant, even though it takes some time to expalin to the staff that you want to eat ala carte and are not on a voucher....

We spent two nights at Mirage Palace as part of a group, so we do not know the rate charged for the room. The first room we were given was big enough at the end of a corridor but it had no bedspreads and the carpet was heavily stained. The staff were helpful and offered us another room which was...
