Great value for money I had a clean and comfortable room on the 1st floor with shared balcony overlooking the temple. This place was less than half the price of comparable places nearby. At 6.15am you get a ringside seat of the monks coming out of and past the temple for morning prayer or whatever it is that they do...

This was a great place for observing the ALms ceremony in Luang Prabang without disturbing the monks and the believers. The ceremony stared at about 6 am, people would started to gather and prepare at about 5 :30am. Just booked the balcony room facing the street , you could observe and take photos /videos with a respectful distance. This villa...

Right in front of this guesthouse is Wat Senesouk where you can witness dozens of monks do alm-giving tradition at dawn. Please respect this tradition and try to take photo from afar instead of poking the camera in front of the monks. It's also a few minutes away from Night Market and other attraction. Even though the room does not...

Villa Senasouk is a nice guesthouse with big clean rooms, free wifi and coffee, hot showers and comfortable beds. The location across from the alms ceremony means you can experience some of Luang Prabangs charms without leaving your room. However, if you have a room facing the street you will be woken up around 545 everyday when the tour buses...

We found our stay in this hotel to be very comfortable the rooms are of a fair size and pretty clean. The staff are friendly, very laid back but their English is not the greatest. The location of this hotel is what makes it in my opinion. You are located on the main road and right across the road from...

This hotel is a great bargain; we will be back! The rooms are clean and spacious and the location is perfect, next to Watsene Temple where you can observe the giving of 'alms' to the monks at 6.30am each day. The hotel is very well run with rooms cleaned promptly each day and an attentive front desk staff. It is...

Beautiful teakwood building at the back of the main one, shielded form the traffic at the front. Refrigerator didn't work, washbasin in the bathroom blocked. Nice room with thin wooden walls. Hardly functional wifi. No breakfast and facilities. Staff hardly speaks English. Paying was difficult, staff wanted cash in Kip and I wanted to pay by credit card. Surcharge of...

This place was recommended by friends who had stayed there several years ago. Luang Prabang has changed a lot in that period of time and while it has potential, it does not live up to it with so many other good choices available nearby. First we tried to make a booking directly with the hotel. After several ever changing and...

We had a ground floor room at the back so our room was quiet in the morning, the whole area was quiet in the evening. It is a little away from the main street but that meant we had a nice meander in to town by different routes each time. They didn't speak much English on reception but there are...

I stayed at the hotel five years ago and returned because I was quite satisfied. The place really deteriorated: Below-average staff at reception not really willing to help clients, dark and worn rooms with a strange lao-chinese mix of styles. Generally o.k. but not for this price - there are definitely options with better value for money in town. When...
