Room was ok, not very clean though. Staff didn't show interest to assist. Breakfast was ok, took a while to prepare it. As I mentioned, staff didn't do their best to make us feel welcomed. Nice backpackers come and it's good place to meet other travellers. Location is good.

We stayed here after getting off the slow boat and being bombarded by the tuk tuk driver who was also the owner we stayed. We were sold on the free breakfast, free rice and noodles and free whisky. Do not stay here!!!! The rooms are unclean and bathroom had a horrible onion smell. The owner tried to charge us twice... More

We stayed here as a couple in a private room for 1 (awful) night. We were handed leaflets for this place on getting off the slow boat. Sold by the travellers who were staying here for free as part of a work away exchange and tired from our 3 day journey we decided to go for it... To our own... More

Sokdee is a really good guesthouse, well located in the city center, but close to the mekong river, so is quite in the night but just 10min walking from the party area. Comfortable mattresses. Dorms are only 4 beds and private bathroom, so you would never feel it overcrowded. Lot of backpackers around and a good atmosphere in the common... More

We stayed here for one week and had the best time. Jason and Noy (the managers) are awesome. The rooms are fine, there is wifi, a hot shower, nice beds and free coffee, water, alcohol and dinner! It's also a great place to meet other backpackers! They also book busses and a lot of trips. This guesthouse has got everything... More

We had bed bucks in our room (room NB7, dorm) in all four beds and there was another guy having bed bucks in a room above us. We asked the owner (local guy) for another room, but he just had private rooms left which he refused to give us for the same price as the dorm (that we demand for,... More

Sokdee has been a great place to stay during my 10 days in Luang Prabang. It is a great location with a price that's hard to beat; 100ft from the Mekong River, a 5 minute stroll from the night market, and less than 10 minutes to walk to the renowned Utopia bar. The rooms are clean and inexpensive with wifi... More

Lots of young people stay here. The rooms are clean and acceptable for the price. Free coffee in the mornings is nice as well. In the evenings people gather around and drink the complementary lao whiskey and talk about their travels. I enjoyed my stay at Sokdee.

The rooms were so dirty. Felt uncomfortable because the family was always around and we never know who to talk to. They did have water and "free dinner" which was ramen. Okay but there are better options.

Stayed here for 4 nights as it seemed the cheapest around for a double room. Price is reasonable and rooms in good conditions but service as inattentive as it could get. Couldn't answer the easiest questions and didn't seem to bother or try so solve problems. The owner just gave me annoyed looks after I had to ask him twice... More
