Small Australian owned hotel, mostly built about 6 years ago (although our huge and stylish room is part of an older house incorporated into the rest) and very much in the LP French colonial style, white walls, deep verandahs, terracotta tiled roofs. It’s built round a small courtyard, shaded with big-leaved shrubs and bushes. Great for breakfasts and afternoon cooling...

I stayed in this lovely hotel for three nights and was most impressed with the comfort , convenience and the helpfulness of the staff. I had a really nice room with all the comforts I needed. I had a balcony facing the inner courtyard and enjoyed sitting there and gazing at the plants ( though the balcony chairs were rather...

We stayed four nights in the Lotus Villa hotel and found it very well located, quiet, enjoyable, clean and solid service by the staff. We were in the building adjacent to the main hotel, with provided upstairs larger rooms. With balconies over the street to watch the Buddhist monks' tak bat procession at 6 AM. Enjoyable and quiet courtyard where...

Stayed at the Lotus Villa for 10 nights in September and cannot recommend it highly enough. It is ideally located within Luang Prabang and provides everything you need for a budget price. The room was very clean and well furbished and the staff couldn't do enough to help. A delicious breakfast was served in the lovely courtyard at the rear....

The location of the hotel is fantastic! The tak bat procession passes by the front doorstep of the hotel; the staff can even arrange for you to participate in handing out sticky rice to the monks (~$2 for 2 containers of sticky rice). The staff can also assist you with arranging for private or group transport down the Mekong to...

We stayed here for 2 nights. The rooms were clean but I found them very dark. There was very poor lighting, which is great if you want to just chill and sleep, but not so good for reading. The breakfast was very limited, but when you consider its only a small hotel, I guess that's to be expected. What they...

The place itself it just gorgeous- clean, spacious and a real delight with the courtyard nestled between the apartment buildings a real haven. But the highlight of our stay was the staff - they were attentive, helpful, and really knew which tours to book for us. At one point there had been a mix up with the amount we paid...

We booked our room at the Lotus some time in advance and paid - without any hassles - via PayPal. As a family of 4 we had a suite room: a generously sized double with an additional annex separated by bi-fold doors from the main room. This had the additional advantage of having a view onto the street from a...

As many other reviewers have mentioned before, the location is ideal. It is towards the end of the peninsula near the Wat Xieng Thong temple and on the middle street which is very quiet. Actually the whole town of LP is very quiet really, especially after dark. Even the night market in the busy part of town has a subdued...

We were very satisfied with our stay at Lotus villa. A short walk to everywhere and especially the better restaurants and cafes in LP. The monks walk right past our hotel every morning. The breakfast was excellent and the staff also went out of their way to help us in liaising with an external tour operator who wasn't even recommended...
