The hotel is located just in the ols "colonial" quarter, at the street leading to the main temple of Luang Prabang - Wat Xieng Thong, where the alms-giving ceremony takes place. The staff is exceptionally friendly, helpful and informative. The hotel offers tranquil and peaceful stay. Breakfast is served in the garden. If you must leave earlier, hotel is able to...

I stayed here with my husband and children (3 and 1 yrs). We stayed on the ground floor and the room was spacious but the bathroom pretty much smelt the whole time we were there which was a little off putting. The staff were extremely friendly and the breakfast was delicious and the location was spot on, easy to walk...

We booked 4 nights stay at the Lotus Villa Hotel - Water Lily room. I believe it is the largest room in the hotel, Room 17 with Balcony and it is the best room to view the Alms giving right at your door step. (Do also note that this room is above the kitchen but I hardly hear any noise...

If you are expecting a luxury 5 star resort, or hipster hotel you won't get this here. It's a good 4 out of 5, especially in this price range. However, if you like atmosphere, clean, quaint, very attentive staff, spectacular breakfasts and a perfect location, this is the place for you. When we first arrived, we were actually disappointed. The...

Not a boutique hotel. The rooms are nice but the bathrooms are strangely designed, the shower is just behind the entrance door and across the small bathroom, so if you take a shower you have to close the door, but after your shower you have to cross the very wet shower floor no other way to get in or out...

We stayed in the suite room so that we could watch the monks on their alms procession from our porch. The room was lovely and surprisingly quiet. Also tranquil was the inner courtyard where breakfast was served each day. Truthfully, there was not a large choice for breakfast menu. Nice place.

We stayed at three hotels in LP and we regret staying here. Not that anything bad happened, just that it was the most expensive and our least favorite. The room we had was just average -- very wooden, dark and no view. The bathroom sink was in the living area, so not separate. The staff was nice, but didn't go...
