I had an excellent stay at Mala's! I was the only guest at that time (it was off-peak and the other guests had just checked out) so it was very quiet and relaxing - just what I imagined Luang Prabang to be! The rooms are clean, the location is perfect (literally a few steps away from the Mekong and the...

I stayed in the 5-bed dorm with en-suite bathroom 5 nights in a row. There's not a lot of space in the room. Basically you have 2 bunk beds, one on each side of the room. So far, so good. But the owners have decided to add a single bed in between, taking most of the little space available. You...

I loved the common area on the terrasse on the first floor. The room was clean and tidy. Shower is hot. Wifi was good. Location is perfect 2 minutes walking to the night market where all the tuk-tuks depart to the nearby attractions. The laundry service is the cheapest in the area. Don't expect any kind of customer service or...

Very friendly owner, price adequate to simplicity of rooms. Do not pick no. 2 or 3, there is a loud watter pump in neighbouring guesthouse making noise 24/7, hard to sleep with opened window. But owner was fair, when we asked to change a room for some a bit more remote from pump, he offered us money back and recomended...

the woman who lives on the premises and runs the guesthouse is very nice. She is extremely welcoming and runs an inexpensive laundry service worth taking advantage of. The rooms are inexpensive, private, and safe, but are very basic. All in all, an entirely adequate and reliable place to stay near the busy backpacker part of town.

I stayed across the street at Wat That Guesthouse/Mala Dressmaker, she is their daughter. For SEA this place is average however the WiFi signal was strong in the common areas and the rooms were tidy. We stayed in a fan room and found it sufficient. Upstairs there are three rooms off the veranda where the common area is. Downstairs there...

I just returned from Laos, and i stayed here eightnight;as i had payed in advance, and there were no refunds allowed.I came here by a friends suggestion, and was so let down...filthy bathroom, which was eventually cleaned, mostly my effort. Burning outside created smoke in room, and nothing was done about it.This is a place once highly thought of with great food, and sitting areas...but these offering...

I would recommend this guesthouse. It is a friendly family run guesthouse close to everything you need but not in the middle of the hussle and bussle either. Kids playing in the streets and locals sitting out the front of their houses talking left me with a calm, relaxed feeling. I have stayed here several times over the year but...

Stayed there for 5 nights. There are only 3 rooms upstairs in the house on the right side of the street when looking towards the river. Room is quite basic, but clean. Coffee and tea served in the morning. Atmosphere on the large balcony around the rooms is great. Location is just a few meters from the start of the...

A hidden treasure just stone thro away from the town. Extremely friendly family, speak good english, they always offer us what they have when we leave or return to the hostel. We had a room with aircon for the 3 of us upstairs. One of the bed was not so good on one side, could feel all the spring but...
