This is listed as nam sok 1 on booking.com as well. I couldn't write on there as we didn't book ahead, so felt the need to post here. The bottom line is the rooms are old and smelly, the old Vietnamese couple that own the guesthouse refuse to acknowledge it, and they are EXTREMELY rude. Worst guesthouse I've ever been... More

Stayed here for 4 nights in great location just off the main road in Luang Prabang. Very reasonable price for a spacious, clean room with air con and fan. Our host spoke perfect English and was extremely helpful and welcoming. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

Nam Sok won big points for service from the moment we arrived - having been set free from our box on the sleeper bus in the early morning, the guest house allowed us access to the room hours before check in to freshen up. They continued to be helpful and attentive throughout the stay (and the main guy had decent... More

We found this place on Agoda and decided to just show up and try to get a room. For 70,000kip we got ourselves a decent fanned room. The sheets were clean, which was nice. The walls and bathroom weren't too appealing though. If you're not too picky, this place is perfect. Awesome location, right near the Mekong. They also had... More

The room was spacious and equipped with aircon, shower, fridge etc., but very dark and window facing another building within 2 meters. Location is good with lots of alternatives for breakfast and dining. Didnt see much of the staff. Bathroom a bit worn out.

After a grueling bus ride from Vientiane that arrived after midnight, I was more than pleased at what some lovely new friends had managed to book for me. A spacious room with TV and ensuite bathroom with hot shower greeted me and looked like heaven. It was only 70,000 kip (single occupancy) in high season and included free drinking water... More

The perfect stop if you only have one day in Luang Prabang. Location is close to everything you need, and just a short walk to some of the major sites. The staff are very helpful, and there was always someone around if you needed something. Rooms are clean and spacious, and very cool

I know Laos is generally behind when I comes to tourism but this place was an example of how bad it really gets. Glad I only had one night. Paid well over twenty dollars for what I do not know. No airport pick up which I booked, no refund for taxi. Took 10 mins to find staff upon my arrival,... More

Good value for money, costed 22.5$ during high season (January) as all other guesthouses were more expensieve or very poor. Big room with fan and huge bed, big bathroom with really hot shower. Nice overall, but Wifi stopped working one day and no one could fixed it. We complained to staff few times, but they just tried to persuade us... More

We stayed here for one night, and it was clean, the staff were friendly, and I would stay here again. It wasn't anything special, but the location was perfect, and it was exactly what we were looking for. Great price, and enough beds for all 7 of us.
