Shower is adequate, bed is fine for Laos standard, rooms feel a bit claustrophobic but you're rarely in them as Utopia's a minute away. Negotiate down the price, wifi will be great one day, down the next. Older backpackers staying here. Owners are cute and lovely. I preferred staying at this side of town than by the river personally so...

We have stayed in this guesthouse for 4 nights for 100.000 kip a night, which I think is great value in pricy luang prabang. We had a big room (nr. 9) in the front on the first floor. There were a lot of windows so enough light. There are tables and chairs in front of the room where you can...

Phongphilack is really pleasant. It's Nestled down a pedestrian walkway on the outskirts of downtown. It's an easy walk to everything around, but it doesn't feel like it's on the main drag. The rooms were clean, had good light, and we're very comfortable. Free coffee and tea all day long. The wifi was a bit sluggish.

We had been staying in a very bad and dirty guesthouse for two days in Luang Prabang when we sort of bumped in to Phongphilack guesthouse and instantly fell in love with the place. It is comfortably situated in a narrow street close to the river. Everything was very clean and the family was very nice. This is definately Value...

This is a quaint, family-run hostel in a perfect location. The price is definitely right as well. The rooms are exceedingly clean and comfortable. The beds are great! You are located in perfect distance from the town's most popping bar and you are right next to the river. This place offered a thoroughly enjoyable experience!

It was our second day in Luang Prabang and we were walking to the city centre, when we came across this lovely, leafy path, just off the main street. We followed it, and found this nice guesthouse. There were rooms available, so we decided to spend the rest of out stay there and we were certainly not disappointed. The guesthouse...

Conveniently located, quiet clean good price in fact much cheaper than most others of similar quality in town. We especially liked the location near cheap friendly restaurants like sabaidee and joma. Our room had a great view of the smaller river. Peaceful back patio.

Considering this was one of the cheapest places we could find in town, we didn't have high expectations. However, we were pleasantly surprised at how clean and nice the rooms were! The wifi didn't work the first night, but the 9 subsequent nights we were there it worked perfectly. The shower did not get very hot, which wouldn't have been...

Title says it all. Toilet had an ant infestation which multiple bug sprays by staff didn't fix, sink was blocked had a few inches of blackened water sitting there for the entire stay (one night). Wanted us to pay 100k. Refused. They only felt we deserved a slight discount so we paid 90k (save save save!!). Had they of been...

The price is great and it's well located a couple of blocks from the noisier street with the neighbourhood's bars and restaurants. The door has unadjustable open slats with no screen on it so it can be a bit noisy if people are talking outside your door. There is no mosquito net so we were a bit worried about getting...
