Quaint old hotel with all the oddities that go Ruth refurbining a former palace. Our room was fine but others complained about multiple floors and tv not located in bedroom. All I can say is the room was clean, bed was hard and nice bath products. A member of our group visited the spa and raved about the message but...

We stayed here for the second time in four years. We requested a suite with a balcony view of the Mekong River. The accommodations are attractive, and quite private. There are four units per floor, with only two floors in each small building. There is no pool, but rather, a very pretty long water feature. The location is superb! We...

The rooms are spacious , tv on the ground floor but not in the bedroom . Comfortable bed and spacious bathroom . wifi and tv work fine. jacuzzi on ground floor was a surprise and we actually used it a few times. breakfast just soso nothing to write home about. The historic aspect is overblown.. nothing regal about the place......

We had a large suite (Mekong Suite #1) which included an anteroom which could have been used as another bedroom (it contained a bed, a sofa and a chair). The suite was on the ground floor, but it still required steps down from the check-in desk, or steps up from the other side of the grounds. The suite also includes...

Location is terrific...near the river, shrines and open market. This is a small hotel and rooms are authentic but had every amenity we needed. Beds were quiet hard, but I think that is typical of the region. On the evening of our stay, there were musicians and dancers performing traditional Loa songs for guests...really charming. Small reflecting pool with twinkle...

For us there are no major problems with this hotel. The location is great near the river and a short walk to the main street. But the hotel itself is very tired. Our room which was traditional style smelt foisty throughout our stay. The bathroom was small with very old plumming. Breakfast buffet just average with uninterested staff just going...

This was a nice hotel in a great location. It was a little pricey, but we did enjoy our stay. I would definitely stay again. Don't expect a 5-star JW Marriott, this is pretty local, which was refreshing compared to the big city hotels. Think, check out of reality for a while. Everything is a short walk away. The hotel...

We stayed at the Victoria Xiengthong Palace Hotel for four nights while visiting Luang Prabang. The location of this historic property is perfect, conveniently off the main road enough to make our stay very tranquil. A very short walk (5-10 minutes) and your in the main area of town. One of the main temples is at the corner of the...

We spent 5 days during the last week in December at Xienthong Palace, and it was superb. First of all, the location is great, especially if you have one of the rooms facing the Mekong River. Waking up to see the Mekong flowing by is a delight. The staff is good, language can be an issue, but they try their...

Beautiful location and buildings and grounds. Right next to Wat Xienthong and the Mekong. But that's it. The rooms are impractical. We booked a villa because of the size but the way it's built is so wasteful that the room is actually tiny with barely enugh space t walk between the bed and the TV counter. And it has steep...
